sbarnby71
A decent video of a very cold blue SW Grey, you can see thin it down with the proper thinner, then slap it on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25NzJDd4D_4 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356216-contrast-paints-and-baby-blue-space-wolves/page/3/#findComment-5336400 Share on other sites
GenerationTerrorist
OK, so this is the progress I have made so far on a Primaris Lieutenant this afternoon from scratch. Grey Seer spray over a Mech Standard Grey undercoat. Drybrush of Stormfang. Space Wolves Grey contrast. Guilliman Blue glaze over the armour. Nazdreg Yellow for the golden bits. (The glaze was still a bit wet at this point, hence the shiny!) I will try and finish him off, including base and other details, tomorrow. Wispy
Yeah want to try and see if i can switch up colors to make shading dawn stone faster the same way they shaded the Fang so quickly. I'll ha e to experiment - it would save me a lot of time painting. Maybe dawn stone shaded with bassilicum grey? so somewhat off topic, after much experimentation i had some success using this as a very easy wash over dawnstone. my goal was to reduce the time it takes for me to shade a miniature, so i was trying to keep my dawnstone midtones while shading recesses. accomplished this with lots of contrast medium and basillicum grey. it was 2 coats with a 4:1 ratio of Constrast medium to Basicallum Grey and took about 2 coats. requires edge highlighting still but i don't mind.
