I've made a fair amount of progress on the Tyrant. The sable, cream, gold trim and flesh are pretty much finished so it's onto the rust (shudder), the little details then it's done. I give it another week or two tops, but I'll post updated photos at the end of the week to show progress.

 

I don't think any of the models will be on bases though, I won't have enough time to create and paint them to the standard I want.

 

Which means yes, we should have a 100% completion rate by the end :D

+++ETL VII - WEEK 8 UPDATE+++

Weekly update, a little later than I had hoped...

 

Currently working on the rust on the Tyrant. I'm trying out these Vallejo Rust Washes and I'm not sure if they're going to work. I'll keep at it and hopefully come up with a solution.

 

 

Once I finish the rust, it's on to little details and it'll be finished! I'm shooting for the end of the week, which would give me around a month to paint up the Armigers.

 

Speaking of which, here they are. Before I spray these guys white, is there anything you fine folks can think of that they need?

Notes: Dominus Knight variant hailing from HelForge Volgan. Identifiable by heavier armour plating and overall larger size than Imperial issue Dominus Knight. Front line / siege specialist armament. Benivolentia Strepo seems to be a walking shrine to the putrescant god Nurglith and has been shown to be revered as such by the throngs of Skitarii and other malcontent creatures. Possesses bio-organic weaponry meant to emulate Imperial issue Conflagration Cannon. Holy Knights of the Imperium are advised not to scan signifiers, Volgan-Pattern Dominus seems to carry highly contagious scrapcode which may be transmitted by such actions.

There are some many points to look at, so much is going on: from the damaged armoured plated (excellently done) to all the lovely mutations, do the dominating bell! And the head rocks!!!

+++ETL VII - WEEK 9 UPDATE+++

Hello everyone, here's my 2nd vow:

I Tallarn Commander rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX on the side of the Renegades and Heretics and vow to complete 2 Leman Russ Battle Tanks, Reaver and Khorne's Ire, each with turret battlecannon and heavy bolter of total value 304 points on or before September 1st, 2019. Success will bring me eternal glory and failure will doom me to wear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end

I plan to use these in a big tournament on the 17th and 18th so I really have to get cracking in order to complete them on time. I used both Russes in a pickup game a couple of weeks ago. They did yeoman's work by tanking shots and putting plenty of firepower downrange. Plus they survived! My R&H were allied with a Alpha Legion against the vile forces of the Imperium. My team-mate and I lost but it was a fun and close game.

Sadly, due to my work schedule and the nature of oil paints drying slowly, I'll probably finish my Russes next week at some point.

I've finished basecoating and started working on the rust-coast, stating with washes. Here are some images.

Notes: Origin of machine unknown, completely void of signifiers. Magos Harkin of Forge World Mezoa believes HelForge Volgan produces massed amounts of Armiger frames for use as hunting packs via the Golden Forge. Heavily modified frame, Thermal Spear replaced with biochemical weapon of equal lethality. Massive Siege Claw causes erratic gait, however no less lethal in combat.

Designation: Verbera Flagellum, Wailing Whip

 

Pilot: Eligos Ophias of Ophias, Banner House of Makabius

 

Origin: HelForge Volgan (presumably), Armiger Warglaive

 

Notes: Armed similarly to Manus Fatorum with the exception of a large mass of whip-like appendages emulating their Seneschal and Huntsman. No indication of external optics found on frame. Optical apparatus replaced with syringe-like device. Machine beginning to show physical mutations in the form of horn growth.
