TIAT my Legio Krytos took a massive beating from some upstart Firebrands. Casualty stats were 4:1 in my opponent’s favour, but it was a good game and was nice to play Titanicus for the first time this year.

One question came up though. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that you can’t take a single Warhound as a support Titan. You need to take at least two. However I couldn’t find anything to back this up.

Is this a thing?

Aww i was hoping for the Dominus when i saw the top guns but cute armigers also good :smile.: Which reminds me i have more printed ones to build!

I guess the sales of these ones will determine if other variants in the same style will be done.

Main thing with Reaver legs is that some bits are specifically left and right even though the instructions say otherwise :/

Oh and some starters are missing instructions but they are widely available online! :)

Oh, are they particular problematic?

Reaver legs can trip you up in various ways. There are two main issues:

First, various parts (the feet, upper thigh and lower leg armour) look like they can go on either side, but they can't. There is a right and left foot, etc. Check and double check that you're putting everything on the correct side.

Second, the armour for the lower leg is a really tight fit. If you have an angle at the ankle joint then the armour won't fit over the pistons. It's really easy to get this wrong because the ankle is a ball joint and incredibly flexible. My advice is to glue the ankle joint on as straight as you can but then bend the toes if you want to have a walking pose. That tends to make for more natural looking poses anyway.

Here are a couple of examples of Reavers I've put together. You can still do quite interesting stuff - it's just the ankle joint you need to worry about.

Also, the shin plates may look like two pairs, but they're not. There's four individual plates. Inside leg and outside leg on each side. The difference is the amount of clearance around the toe piston. You need more clearance inside leg than you do outside, so use the higher arches on the inside.

Alternatively, knowing the differences can help you squeeze a little more space out of posing.

So...the BU-11 transport shuttle (AKA 'the Bull') has just been released!

The BU-11 class civilian shuttle, also known as the 'Bull', is designed for smallscale (6mm / 8mm) gaming, making it compatible for games such as Adeptus Titanicus, Battletech, Aeronautica Imperialis, X-Wing and others.

The kit contains the following parts:
- 3x hulls (landing gears out, landing gears in, no landing gears at all)
- cockpit
- front hatch
- engine*
- separate landing gears**
- 2x crew members

Please do not share of sell these files without my written permission!

*Note that you'll have to print the engine 4 times.

**Note that you'll have to print each of the landing gear parts 2 times if you're planning on using them on the hull without the landing gears.

Today in Titanicus I sprayed a Warhound’s skeleton and put magnets in the weapons. The metal came out darker than the previous Warhound, so it might be donated to my son’s Tempestus instead.

TIT, and for the last week or two really, I have been dialling in my FDM printer and experimenting with Grimdark stuff. I've been getting surprisingly good results as things have gone along, and now, for the lols mainly, I'm having a punt at a filament Samson. Just to see if it can be done really.

The whole freighter will take about 4-5 beds. The first 2-3 were just the engine and booster exhausts. I've found that trying to print very small components alongside big components is a bad idea, as they have a tendency to be dragged around the bed when they detach from their supports and wreck the whole print. Those are now all printed separately, on 'one at a time' mode. Next up is the wings and fuselage. - 29 hours. Then it's the Bow and Aft sections, and the body. I honestly don't think the printer will print the unloaded clamps, so it's containers all the way. - 3 days, 13 hours.

So, barring any failures... I'll see the results by the weekend? Maybe?

Update: The second phase is complete, and no issues. That's the wings and fuselage done, and I gotta say, as long as you don't look at the underside, it all looks pretty decent.

It worked! All considered I'm pretty chuffed, it was just under 3 days for the container sections and the ends, and no major issues with the print!

What I did learn however, was that I need to massively adjust my support settings. Cura put supports everywhere, and I mean everywhere. It even built supports around the legs, above the footpads, meaning it was impossible to remove the support from underneath. I tried valiantly to cut the support away with clippers, knife and scissors, but in the end I had no choice but to snap the legs off with the support and glue them back on.

I'm sure the next one will turn out better, and there almost certainly will be another, they're quite good terrain pieces.
