Made a start on truescale terminators ...

They really do *loom* - and handily, also manage to fix various of the internal anatomy peculiarity of the regular-scale (er .. out-of-scale) kind

Oooo... :ohmy.:

He's such a chonker. I love it.

I've been having some minor reservations on the true-scale Terminators from Tortuga, because the arms seem kinda small on them, but seeing the ones produced by you and Kizzdoug on his instagram has been alleviating my of my worries. Can't wait to see the rest of his mates!

Love the Thunderhammer too. Where's it from?

Holy smokes! That terminator looks awesome! I love how bulky he is.

Thanks :D Really does get across .. well .. the 'walking tank' level of armour involved - particularly when placed next to some regular-sized humans.

Yeah, as per usual, there's an issue with truescaling and regular-scale arms - even terminator arms. However I'm not sure it's quite as notable as one might think - like, it's not as jarring as regular-scale marine arms on a truescale for the 't-rex arm effect'. Partially because terminator arms are always seemingly a bit overscale - especially with the amount that goes into the shoulder.

Just went over to look at Kizzdoug's insta and am rather amused that he's beaten me to something I was intending to do viz. an XXth terminator - since i've got those fine looking arms and pauldrons left over from the lernaeans i used as a basis for truescaling awhle back. I think he's gone with a slightly higher mounting for the arms than I have - also looks like he might have mounted the head further forward and higher - perhaps it's even a larger one. That higher placement for the arms will be adding a bit to the stubby, perhaps.

In terms of your question - the hammer (and for that matter, the other arm as well) is from the regular FW legion praetor in cataphractii. It *finally* doesn't look oversized !

I'm contemplating mixing things up a lot more with the next few - using not just cataphractii arms, but tartaros arms with additional pauldrons perhaps, invictus arms if I've got some around, grey knight terminator arms for spear / halberd wwielding ; so we'll see what happens.

Thanks again for the kind words :)

working on those Tortuga Mk. IVs for more Adamanticores

had an idea of sorts - i mean, a whole lot of Mk. IV for what's a *well* post Crusade era and manufacture requires explanation.

Therefore seemed logical to have it be a deliberate thing. A small unit that actually for whatever reason [perhaps Mk. IV's technical superiority in various respects] actually pointedly uses Mk. IV - which would be a rarity in amidst the Adamanticores ... because it's *actually* largely Mk. IV rather than the combination of different armour marks we usually see.

So - Mk. IV helms, torsos, legs, power packs (broadly speaking - it's hard telling the difference with the well adorned veteran ones), arms [although i've cheated a bit using kinda Mk.II on the one on the left - because they're nice and thick for truescaling; which, handily, the Angel's Tears Mk.IV destroyer arms are as well]

I then went further and figured that .. well, the grav-weapon combi-bolter, the suspensor equipped missile launcher of a pattern hardly seen since the Heresy, the ocular augmetics on the helms ... it all suggested that these Marines would be rather high-tech, technologically adroit.

Haven't worked out the mythological resonancies and linguistics yet - but a potentially interesting start.

Now just need to find more sources for ocular augmetic Mk. IV helms
