They look really cool. Also cool with the iron crosses. Is it true that black templars are a lot better at combat than other marines? I think my friend said he was afraid of them because they can get tons of attacks in close combat. Is it so?

There are tricks to get extra attacks on the charge, protect important squads, move things into assault doctrine early etc. In the right hands, they can be pretty nasty, and in the wrong hands (like mine  ) at least they're still Space Marines. Thank you for everyone's lovely comments. It's a while since I've posted my full order of battle, so here's an updated version. After a lot of work on my Order of The Iron Veil, I've started work on my Black Templars again - here's the first bit of my current wave of expansion.

Lovely crisp style, and ably executed. The whole scheme sits really well together, I like how the Assault Intercessors have a kind of personal heraldry going on. The blood spattered marines just scream Templar!

Cool models, very characterful. I'm personally not a fan of the tabards - the chest piece seems a bit too bulky for my liking, but it doesn't detract from the overall impression the models leave. I like the flaming torches and candles (on the TDA model) (where did you get those?) and I particularly like the Initiate with the bloodied chainswrod and armour - great effect!

 

Did you use a Necron head for the Chaplain?

There's more shots of the bikes, with lots of alternative angles on my IG, but in summary they're AoS Black Knight lances as a bit of a cut-and-shut job either side of a chainsword grip.

Very happy about how Warhammer Fest has been going so far - more Sororitas goodness for my Order of the Iron Veil, Tanith that'll probably find their way into my Ordo Hereticus/Harakoni Warhawk killteam, and tonight Astartes flyers for Aeronautica, which will of course be getting painted black and white with Maltese crosses on them.
