Thanks man.. Now I'm going to slow down on tanks since I heard a point increase is in the horizon, but if its feasible I'd like 3 demolishers to round out my boys. now back to my Kasrkins and painting them up. Then the rest of my Guardsmen. Lets see how I can modernize the Chimeras like I did with the Taurox Primes.

Printing them in grey scale though because most of my models are darker color plus makes em look tacticool

My 7th Cavalry Division (Emperor's Fist Tank Company) did me proud today, but I think I got lucky. I was rolling hot. My first experience with a Tank Company gives me hope for 9th; however l am in need some tweaks. It was orginally suppose to be a 1.5k game but my opponent was 60 points short. So I removed my LR Conqueror which dropped my points to 1324. My opponent was satisfied with his 1326 point lit after a few adjustments. I was okay with it.

Beginning of Turn 1

So I got first turn and I was point with my rolls. I blew up two of his boats, killed an entire squad, and wounded everything but the flyer. Two of my tanks got locked in Combat and by the end of turn two one of the infantry squad was wiped off the board. The rest of his vehicles were destroyed except for the flyer. Left it alone. His HQs were dead. All I can say is I love Grinding Advance with the greater good Regimental Doctrines of Jury-Rigged and Gunnery Experts. He called it after that, he kept missing his invul +5 saves and his feel no pain. I had my Field Commander LRBT /w sunderence down to 3 wounds left by the end of it.

Beginning of Turn 2

Had I gone second it would have been a different story and the dice gods were with me. Next game it will be most likely seeing it on a different spectrum. I might invest in 3x Demolishers after all, but I have to see the point increases that I keep hearing rumors of.

Good to get a game in, but you do need a lot more cover - makes the games more interesting and prevents them turning into either buckets of shooting or headlong rushes. Remind your opponent that the dice gods will look more favourably upon him when his army is fully painted ;)

So I have been busy the past couple of days. I realized that I had a stormlord sitting at my office at work collecting dust. I'm like okay well lets fix it, update it, rennovate, and essentially have a stormlord for now till I pick up three demolishers. Lets see if I cant fix it up. Here are the pics of what it look like before yesturday when the idea popped in my head.

Yes that is Raptors and yes that is a Space Marine Scout Sergeant.

Lore wise this was a gift from the Catachans when the Raptors fought alongside em in the jungles of Third War of Armageddon. So now the 10th Company is using it as a mobile training C&C base.

But after years of neglet and sitting on a shelf collecting dust, well now I have something I dont need to purchase. Its somewhat kisment. So looking over the model man did I mess up building it. I used too much glue and are missing parts. Lets change that shall we?

Here we have third part 1/35 scale armaments from Academy models. I found my self without spare heavy stubbers or even a way to purchase them separately. So I got this and retails about $9 bucks. Not to shabby if I might add.

So I changed the decals around. Rebuilt the rear structures and I manage to build some passengers too.

So cleaned the body up as best as I good. Removed a lot of the decals that were on the vehicle. Started painting up the accessories and the passengers. Oh I dont know if you noticed but the Tank Commander of this Stormlord is now a Guardsman with a Hostile Environmental Suit.

I hope you ware enjoying this. Its been quite the adventure so far.

I’m loving this. That’s a terrifying army, and with infantry support I’m not sure how I would be able to deal with an enemy force like this. What’s the point total?

Thanks man... I was worried when I was ripping off the stuff from when I built it in 5th edition. I'm like man I am so glad my glue ussage has lessened since then. I cleaned up the insignias and I have to admit I thnk I got better at painting lights.

So yes I did finish the Chimeras yesturday, but as I looked at them they needed something to match up with the theme of my collection. I decided to spruce it up and gave two Chimeras a count as Heavy Stubber. Then I also added a Spotlight to the Gryphonne conversion. I also added more accessories in the back of the two chimeras and filled out the empty spaces. Hope ya'll enjoy....

perhaps.. I dunno. My easy Company 2-5 is based on MEUs and Taskforce 141 is loosely based on multi branch/national unit circa COD and from my own deployment. lol

So Its been what a few days and here is my progress on my three Valkyries since I shifted build priority to my Valkyries.

Here is the panels for the pilots and navigators

Cockpit details are complete, so lets move on shall we?

Front Fuselage has been primed and assembled. Started to lay some paint down.

Because I painted the panels in the cockpit and kept it clear, I just had to do these details as well. Pretty straight-forward if you ask me.

I thought these guys needed some personality, so I gave em pinups.

Added Nuln oil to make the brighter colors dull but still prominent to the eye when looking at it.

As I continued with this project I realized that the ramp needed some support. I did some motifcations to the hull to accomadate a metal chain so that the rear door can open without the gates opening wide open.

Now I just ran out of glue and I cant finish the missile pods

Thanks man.. yeah it was a blast putting them together. I did make Stomlord Sponsons removable so that I can use a Master of Ordinance being transported in the open top firing deck.

Now that acknowledgements are praised, thank you so much for the words of encouragement. It really helps me and motivates me to continue with this hobby of mine. So without further adieu, my progress so far. As you can see I have been working on my Valkyries since I finished with the tanks. I hope you guys enjoy them. I present to you all two out of three of my Valkries.

I figured I start out with the door gunners because I'm a big fan of painting more individuality per Valkyrie but still maintain uniformity. I glued one foot on this 100mm base so that I can paint them together and streamline mass production so to speak. This is my test bed for painting guardsmen in the future.

So Lima One Three aka "Lucky 13" does deserve a beer and a scroll. This was my attempt at lettering with a brush. This whole army has provided me with some practice.

I have also been working on Echo Four Nineteen aka "Rawley's Ride" or "R&R" and her exterior.

Thanks man, I had gotten them from eBay. It took a bit to get here in The states. However you can print them out yourself using decal paper made by microscale.

I took a guess on the TF. I've deployed with 1-41 IN BN and alongside 2-5 IN BN. I'm familiar with 2-5 Marines, "Retreat Hell", but I'm biased toward Army.

 

Man, I actually didn't realize that the Valkyries had so much interior detail until looking at your efforts. They look great! Which paint are you using for the green?

Yeah I didn't realize it either, but I figured why the heck not. I should have done it for the Taurox models, but I digress.
