schoon
Looks great. The green and off-white are solid color choices and you've executed it well. Looking forward to seeing more. Have you done custom Legio Traits for them yet? ToyShip
Thanks! Not yet, I’m waiting on Defence of Ryza to arrive before I make any final decisions. Working out my background ideas to make sure the traits make sense. Should be finished painting this guy this weekend, hopefully I can settle on that stuff in the meantime. Mandragola
I like the scheme a lot. One suggestion is to do a bit of work on raised feet like this. I think it looks a lot better if you change the toes so they're pointed down. Not essential, and maybe a little late on this one, but possibly something to bear in mind for future. ToyShip
I can see what you mean! Give it a bit more motion and realism. I have three more ‘Hounds to go, I will definitely put more work into the toes on them! Thank you for the suggestion! General Zodd
Just echoing what others have said, that’s a really effective colour scheme, and nicely executed! I particularly like the green-tinted white next to the metal trim. Is that a brassy colour on the trim? Or is that a trick of the light? Either way it looks really nice! Also the “Starter Set” showed up so I have 3 Wrahounds and 2 Reavers to paint in the near future. Just echoing what others have said, that’s a really effective colour scheme, and nicely executed! I particularly like the green-tinted white next to the metal trim. Is that a brassy colour on the trim? Or is that a trick of the light? Either way it looks really nice! Thanks! It’s Scale 75 Decayed Metal washed with Biel Tan Green. Simple and effective! The White is Deepkin Flesh. Nice greenish off-white. In other news I am mostly done with the first Warhound, sans base and decals. I’ll be doing those when I have at least one more Warhound done. Thanks for the comments guys! I appreciate the motivation. depthcharge12 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366186-legio-ensis-the-%E2%80%9Cvorpal-swords%E2%80%9D/#findComment-5593510 Share on other sites
General Zodd
Lovely, I’m also assuming the Princeps of this Legio keep Snicker Snacks handy to keep them going in battle? .......... I’ll get my coat... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366186-legio-ensis-the-%E2%80%9Cvorpal-swords%E2%80%9D/#findComment-5593619 Share on other sites

Instar-Nine
They look great, I love the complimentary shades of green. The glow effect works well too. Have you decided on Legio heraldry?
