Firedrake Cordova
Fair enough. I suppose you could go the route of the Great Gargant, and make them a bit more "doughy"? (I'm thinking a bit Sumo wrestler silhouette?) Yeah, but again, the Epic/Armorcast silhouette isn't brilliant either. I found some artwork I really like, which I'll share when appropriate, to base some ideas off. Much like the Imperial Titans, I suspect it'll be my own secret blend of eleven herbs and spices to get something I'm happy with. My biggest concern, as with the Imperator back when I started this, was to avoid the puerile "crotch-cannons" of years gone by. The other thing is that I'm no Ork specialist, so I've no idea what kind of weaponry Gargants and the like would be armed with, thus I've no idea what to even look for! Green skin purists (Inquisition, take note) possibly ought to look away lest they're met with the Ork equivalent of a Sunbury or a Bellicosa mounted on a Knight Acheron ... Firedrake Cordova
Ah yes, the placement of some of the guns on the Epic models is ... "unfortunate". If it helps, the Abominable Intellect says: Ork Gargant (standard) Belly gun: Gut Busta mega-cannon (or alternatively a Snapper close‑assault / melta unit on some variants) Main side/head weapons: 2–4 Soopagun / Supa‑gun style big shootas (heavy ballistic weapons) Close‑combat: Mega‑choppa / giant power claw (on Smasher/Crusher subtypes) Misc: Kustom force field, smaller choppas/klaw/gatla and dakka mounts, rockets and sponson guns as fitted Ork Great Gargant Larger Gut Busta(s) or multiple belly guns (Gut Busta / Supa‑Melta variants) More and bigger Soopaguns / Supa‑guns across head and shoulders (often 4+ heavy ballistic mounts) Bigger close‑combat weapon (huge power claw/mega‑choppa) Additional dakka: rokkit banks, kustom mega‑shootas, and extra sponson weapons Kustom force fields and heavier armour Ork Mega‑Gargant Multiple Gut Busta / Supa‑Kannon belly weapons (very large melta/antititan guns) Numerous heavy Soopaguns / Supa‑kannons and long‑range mega‑guns in head/shoulders/flanks Very large close combat weapon(s) (mega‑claw / stompa‑sized choppa) Extensive dakka: rokkit batteries, supa‑boosta‑blastas, extra sponsons and point‑defence guns Stronger Kustom Force Fields, increased armour and transport/crew fixtures Lord_Mephistopheles 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367969-legio-solaria-titans/page/7/#findComment-6146522 Share on other sites
Lord_Mephistopheles
First Ork update: Added the chest 'Eavy KillKannon. To ensure "enuff dakka" i've taken my imperial battlecannon models and tweaked them with a new mount, and have made them deliberately asymmetric to make it look like its 2 different patterns of weapon that have been looted and used, with the addition of the traditional Orkish ammo clip to turn them into "battulkannon" mounts. To my head, the Ork stuff needs to be much shootier than the Imperial equivalent to compete on a level playing field, as the weapons will be individually less powerful and less sophisticated, but greater in number.
