Tough one, as you pay so much for his weapons. I think there's a good case for the hammer even so. If you're fielding these guys at all it's probably as one of the melee-oriented chapters. A unit of these as something like blood angels will likely be fighting twice, so you may as well equip them to the max.

@Mandragola, I’m kind of interested in putting a blob of these guys with a Dark Angels interrogator. chaplain. There are all kinds of crazy things this guy can buff on the charge, including +1S. A crap load of chain swords at S5 and AP -2 sounds fantastic

I like thunder hammers with my wolves. Our chapter tactic balances out the penalty and I play against deathguard alot so having a weapon that puts down a plague marine is nice.

I didn't find magnetising the Indomitus guys too rough at all!

 

The Deathwatch kit pairs really well with them for the weapons, and I used 2x1 magnets in the torso and shoulders.

 

Gave them a little flair with a peppering of DW & IF custom pauldrons on the swappable arms, and the only real issue is some of the DW pads don't fit 100% so you need to pick the ones you actually end up using carefully.

 

EDIT: I have all the options available on my Assault Intercessor sergeants - power fists came from the Imperial Fists upgrade sprue, power swords & thunder hammers from the DW kill team kit, & the chainswords are their native ones.
