Good chance I've missed stuff/put stuff on the list that has been confirmed, but its a start.

P.S. I'm not buying units were dropped to 'reduce book load' when we have pages for 'Praetor', 'Praetor in Tartaros Armour' etc...

I’m glad it’s April Fools day or I would be well unhappy!

Aw man, if nullificators are gone that really hurts one of my projects, I was planning a Imperial Heralds remnant force going daemon hunting. I also have 2 MkIV boxnoughts to build from when FW LCTBed them, I was still undecided on what to use them for. I will likely build them and wait to get confirmation of their presence/absence before painting them, although I was looking forward to convert a flamestorm cannon for one of them and use it to toast traitors. If that is not possible, I guess my 40K chapter will get 2 relic boxes for themselves.

Anyone see raldarons rules yet? Is he still pretty much the same as current edition?

Haven't seen the rules, but someone claims they go as follow:

Raldoron is mostly unchanged beyond getting Furious Charge (2) and his sword is now murderous strike (5+).

A big change he got is the ability to select his warlord trait from the "Core" warlord traits or any other loyalist legion's warlord trait that isn't character specific or traitor only.

No word on Crohne, no one has heard of him. He's most likely getting replaced by Zephon. No model no rules strikes once again. Especially now that all Primarchs have one.

We’ve seen remarkably little of generic Legion list info.

Have we actually seen anything other than the supposed datasheets for the Predator & Kratos? As well as a few weapon profiles etc?

The data sheets are out there but is there something specific you wish to know about either?

Just because I am paranoid: if you can, try to phrase it in a way I can say "yes/no" to.

Oh no, I meant those were the only full data sheets for generic units that I had seen.

I would imagine that most or all of those legion characters would be prime material to return in future campaign books. To be cynical, they want you to keep buying campaign books. Curbing some of the content you have access to directly at launch makes sense if you want players to continue to do that.

I'd guess that there will be a hefty "get you by" PDF at launch with some of the larger/popular removed characters as well as some of those missing units (boxnaughts especially).

As an aside, GW seem to have a habit of wildly changing the final printed result after the final playtest (Aeldari codex is a recent example, Recent AoS books have changed massively too from what I understand). I'm not sure if it'll happen with Horus Heresy too as they're separate teams but it's definitely something to consider. The Playtest 3.0 pack is a good guideline to the release, its not always indicative of exactly what's coming (or not coming) :biggrin.:

Thing is, that list was first posted a couple days ago, and not on April first.

If all of these removed / shifted unit entries are actualy true, well, then *beep* off 'Heresy 2.0' :censored:

Until some of those generic units start appearing LCTB, I'm going to remain skeptical.

Maybe all those OOP/no models units will be collected into a Legends supplement?

We already have that one ... it's called OG Heresy

OG Heresy?
Original Heresy. What we play and love for 6 years now. Edited by Gorgoff

I go full on dental that anything of this is true.

Otherwise it would be too :censored: up.

In my group almost all of them said they won't play the game if that is true. They even consider selling their stuff before it comes because the ubits are now still valuable.

I recommend selling now, before people realize that those units are indeed gone. Should help out some new players get into the game as a bonus.

No more Blood Angel stuff will get leaked sadly, because the leaker seems to have gotten into a typical 4chan pissing match with someone from Bolter & Chainsword of all people.

The fight in question arose over not posting the full rules, but I think it is said elswhere that the WL is now more flexible and the blade Encarmine has a (+5) efect like Breaching or Rending.

Tl;dr: Raldoran gud

I'll check if there are more leaks elsewhere. It's a pain that the only that hasn't dried up (yet) is 4chan, though it was to be expected. I guess all good things come at a price.

Are the artillery pieces that are going away resin/plastic hybrids? My guess is anything in the new book already has full forge world kits that are staying, or will soon be replaced with plastic kits with maybe resin alternate weapons. I suspect anything where the base model is currently a 40k kit with a resin component, or just a 40k kit, is going away in the new book. At least to start.

This would mean the end of a lot of kits, notably something like the Fellblade/Glaive/Falchion which use baneblade as a base.  Ditto for Storm Eagle/Fire Raptor using the Storm Eagle (thought this would be a massive improvement and jubilation for all if this became mostly plastic).  Admittedly you could do new plastic upgrade sprues to bridge from the existing plastic base parts (I would love a plastic Fellblade, using a heat gun to work out all the gaps and warpage on the resin and getting the tracks lined up correctly on mine was flipping nightmare)

Though if the rumormongers are to be believed, I could see a lot of kits being updated such as:

  • Whirlwind Scorpius - ditch the resin hull parrts for complete plastic, rebox with the existing resin turret
  • Sicarans - If there is a new plastic kit coming for the base version, then variants could just keep existing resin for the required front hull (venator), turrets (everything else) and use the plastic for the hull
  • Predators - If not all version make it into plastic then they maybe just sell the weapon swaps to the new base plastic kit
  • Cerberus/Typhon - Rework the resin parts for front hull and weapons to utilize a plastic spartan hull.  This would certainly help get rid of the resin-spartan's tendency for the track tips to break off.

The choice to remove Boxnaughts is... really weird

On another note, have we seen the new Iron Hands rites of war? I've seen basically all of their rules except for the RoWs and their unique reaction.
