Anyone have any guesses on prices?

Its hard to say. The description on Warhammer community says 1 30x22 board, and the pictures show two. I think its going to be cheaper than people think, but also have a lot less terrain.

Awaiting the rules to see if they are up to par but the models look fantastic.

I'm hoping its more like warcry, where they experiment a bit. With combat patrol being the starting point for 40k this doesn't need to be a skirmish/Introduction game and can just be its own thing.

Indeed - very nice looking models. :D It will be interesting to see what the rules are like.

The bad news: it's a "while stocks last" release. :(

The not-so-bad news: All the contents will be released separately. :)

This preview didn’t disappoint. I was expecting to see some new Ork Terrain. It looked like it was modular so perhaps we’ll see it expanded upon in the future. The Krieg heads are moulded with the pipes as well which is clever, meanings it’ll be easy to head swap them to create new regiments.

The most interesting thing for me though is that they hinted that whilst these models are assembled as Kill Team specialists they can also be assembled as ‘regular’ squads, a design ethos which they’re gonna continue with with further releases apparently.

Going by the unboxing I think we get it all

Big rules experiment seems to be no measuring tapes, everything done by gages

The models are fantastic but the new rules are a complete turn off for me.

Kill Team has always been a great way to introduce friends to 40k and eventually play the big game. It was also a fun way for me to start building, converting and painting new models without having to start a new army. I don't feel like learning a complete new game as I don't have the time to dedicate myself to yet again another different wargame.

edit: seriously why would they completely change the models profiles compared to 40k !?

it makes zero sense to me it's just really confusing guardmans have 7 wounds now lol

The problem is that you can just play small games of 40k which steps on the toes of kill team. overall new rules that are different that make it a different game is a good thing. at least for GW.

I am down for this new Kill Team rules system - here’s hoping it isn’t crap.    I’m assuming that we’ll be getting gaming cards and some instructional cards with this so that it’s not terribly hard to learn the new things and you have good reference items.

Really looking forward to the new models and terrain though, regardless, it will be really nice to add to 40K (because I need more in my backlog).

I have never liked 40k stats / rules in skirmish games.

They just about get away with it in Necromunda, but the 40k stats actually aren't granular enough for a proper skirmish game.

Warcry is a really fun rules set and I'm hoping they take the best bits and add more depth.

This seems to be a completely new rules set though.

I’m split on this release. On one hand, I don’t need aGuard army, and adding an Ork army would make me fill bad about the Ork force I binned 10+ years ago

On the other hand so really wanna get into KT and I need terrain

I really like the look of Krieg and with the sprues you can basically make anything you need for a foot-slogging Guard force minus a banner and heavy weapons.

But I'm unsure if I should go down that rabbit hole, considering how much Guard I already have.
