To my eye, that Kor Phaeron looks very much like the FW model that I have seen. Except that the FW model was in much more dynamic pose, while this one has been pictured in extremely static pose, almost as if he is about to fall asleep.

Honestly I think Kor looks great, from what I can tell I think the photo is making the shading on the armour look more washed out than it really is.

There is certainly that (especially since he didn't get the whole astartes treatment).

 

Looking again at the picture, the grayish background does not have much of a contrast with this figures armour - a different background might have been of benefit here.
