I´m pretty clueless about those Horus heresy-specific tanks but damn, that Ravenguard thing looks both cool and well-painted. I think I commented on most of the others, elsewhere. But that one. Real sweet! What grey is that, or black.. Not familiar with how RG are painted generally, not yours. But i like the look of that.

I kind of want to get into Horus Heresy, but - I just don´t have thr time now. but i do have time to read up on it and learn some of the units.. :) So thanks!

 

I have used Mr Hobby (Gunze Sangyo) Mr Surfacer 1500 black alot lately but ran out (though i have grey still) so was actually thinking of getting some Vallejo. And then found one bottle of the light grey as well as a darker Stynylrez - which I have found to be very similar (both polyurethane).

Even put a white one in a digital basket - but might get that black instead, or both..

 

Also need a couple of Vallejo paints so might pick those up you mentioned. Not planned to paint Raven Guard but i really like the look.  So thanks for that handy little guide.

Looks good. I really like how the red on the gun casing came out, and the metal tone

Yeah my head cannon is my Brotherhood has been on campaign for while and has not cleaned and sanctified their armor. Plus the clean shiny armor is cool but would get dirty fast and I like urban basing.
