Squats: A grognard's journey back into 40k

[Pacific81]

A reconnaissance mining unit deploys, ready for action in a game tomorrow! First 500pts force for a 40k 2nd edition. We're starting off small as we haven't played for some years, bringing in larger points, psychic phase etc. If this game goes well.

Arise from the grave, thread, arise!

Have still been pottering away with this project & a few bits to finish to have a playable army (for 2nd edition 40k, OPR or skirmish games at least).

Been trying to find a suitable Living Ancestor mini for some time; the new Grimnyr miniature is great but looks much too bad-ass (and not really frail like an 800yr old dwarf should). Originals are off the table as the oldhammer mini market is insane at the moment (£40-50 for a 1 inch, 20g lead mini? No thanks). So had a go at converting my own, based off the Ironhead Prospector minis. I used a biker head, greenstuffed a beard & added a walking stick. My only concern is he looks too much like Charles Bronson!
