I'd have loved to get a tank or two in, but dreads > tanks this edition, and with leviathal they have to be off-board (which isn't bad, but not for this list. The usual alpha sneakiness, with some grav thrown in for movement blocking the opponent. The BA are there to charge in and die, hopefully applying pressure, the headhunters go after the warlord T1, or try to slag the transport they're in then die heroically. The librarian goes with the Fulmentarus to make them a frightening unit, that will return fire and pin you, probably. Vigilator roams with the seekers trying to hunt characters and pin things, the delegatus either goes with the lascannons or the recons. Basic troops including the fast assault squad that will try and hide, then score late game. The speeder is there to unlock the second heavy slot, but I could drop this and the levi for another contemptor + 2 more rapiers, or other stuff? Xenith Posted March 10, 2023 Author Share Posted March 10, 2023 Alternatively I have a 3k Moebius recon list Delegatus hides with the bolter recons which don't infiltrate but scout/hide with shorud bombs. Vigilator and libby go with the seekers to shoot, pin and kill things. The list still goes for a HQ kill, but can be more selective in picking battles. Recon will encourage the opponent to bunch up and hide from my alpha, so the scorpius is there to keep them honest. Apoc would go with the effrit, or maybe the seekers, might have to drop something to fund a second. Kratos and preds are there to throw 13 long range meltas downrange every turn, but I could be tempted to swap them out. I'm kind of model poor, so don't have too much flexibility, and am trying to decide on what army to take to an event in 2 months time, then get building accordingly! Xenith Posted March 10, 2023 Author Share Posted March 10, 2023 This is the third option, which I think is kind of tricksy and combines a BA recon company with Moebius and Leviathal. By the time you get a praetor with paragon blade and jump pack, you might as well take Zephon. I could save some points and make him a delegatus with pack for 115 or so, leaving room for more. The BA is bare minimum, I've got round the HS limit for the leviathal by sticking a scorpius in there in case the opponent bunches up - only bad choices for the opponent again, kill it and give me VP or let it live and be killed. As above, libby and vigil ride with the seekers, delegatus probably at the back somewhere, maybe with a boarding shield and the fulmentarus. Apocs with the Effrit and Seekers. Everything else goes for the warlord kill, with dreads to keep other dreads off my back and try to run in for a charge.
