Echoes of the Warp

The current terminator kit is from what, 2004? It's really been a long time coming. Expected an update a decade ago, when the space marine range got updates to the tactical, assault and devestator kits in 2012-2013?

Now if we can just also get new (primaris) Scouts that were also skipped over, that'd be great.

I was really hoping for primaris terminators, but the odds were against...

And thank the Emperor it's not more Primaris.

It’s Indomitus armour…

It definitely is. Even side-by-side, some people will go to great lengths to ignore facts.

Here's hoping for better proportions and multiple options in the kit (even just mixed Tactical/Assault would be good).

Good spot on the UM logo. Does that blow the blood angels starter rumours out of the water then?

Has been stated to be a featureless starter box for a while now in rumors. To be allowed to be painted in any chapter colour.

Dark vengeance style steered chapter starters are the exception rather than the rule.

Definitely makes sense - reducing the potential buyers to those who want that specific Chapter/are willing to put in significant effort to remove Chapter iconography is simply a bad business decision. For a limited run thing? Sure, but not for an edition starter box (if that is what this is).

What it might do is shore up the rumours of the marine contents from Valrak where he suggested they were in ultramarine colours, whereas no other source has so far.

I get that but several of the rumours pointed to the generic marines (no chapter specific iconography) as being painted in blood angle colours for this edition. That being the case why would this teaser video feature ultramarines? Most logical conclusion would be that it will be UMs vs leviathan.

100% yes

I think at this point believing other rumour sources is shaky at best, especially when Valrak is pretty much always 100%

In a way, it makes sense. If someone is personally invested in the classic style going away, for whatever reason, their first reaction will be to deny any fact that contradicts what they want to happen.

Maybe its both? Or the focus on Baal comes later, and isn't specifically tied to the release of the terminator kit, but rather a range refresh of BA units.

UM vs Leviathan ties nicely in with Space Marine II
