For the Lion and the First.

Excellent model. Stoked about the head options.

I can't wait to read the updated lore especially regarding Luther and the Fallen. I'd love to see the First go back to their original colors too.

The model is stunning. Probably one of the best Primarch models yet in my opinion. Do we have any knowledge if that's the lion sword that Cypher has or if it is a new sword? Wondering what developments might come out of that whole deal.

They stated it's a new sword, and Cypher still has the Lion Sword

Aside from the little wings draping over the vents, I love it. It doesn’t feel too ‘Primarisified’ and keeps the knightly look of his 30k sculpt and artwork, while adding in enough modernisation that he’ll fit right in with 40k. They really went out of their way in giving us those head options, I’m struggling to choose, and I love they went with a grizzled aged look to show he’s not been in stasis. Over all, a stellar model

i’m glad they kept him in the original legion colours too!

For the Lion, for our gene-father! He looks absolutely amazing, very very happy with how he turned out. My only small gripe are those wings on his backpack not looking proportional to the body, but it's a small one at that. Definitely will be magnetizing the barefaced hood and the winged helmet option!

Still feels unreal that my primarch returned..

I don't know what to say. I am dissapointed. I mean I like the model, his pose, watchers, gear etc. but his bare head is not exactly what I expected. I hoped to see the same face as in the glorious 30k model but with much longer hair and maybe longer beard. Now I see a very old man that is too old to raise a sword.... the cover on the AoO book is also horrible.

Good to see that there is a hooded head option but I soooo hoped to see him with his long blonde hair without pony tail and although i know he is literally 10k years older i wanted him to look younger ~middle aged !

I may have missed something,  but does it feel like there is a massive disconnect between the Lion returning,  and 10ths arrival of the nids threat?

Not much was mentioned I suppose,  but... you'd think there would be at least some inclusion of the Lion with 10ths announcement.   Even if he is the wrong color.   Maybe his show down with angron doesn't go so well.

The nids are on the other side of the galaxy. I expect the scuffle might cause them to show up, but there's no way any of the parties here end up on the Western side of the galaxy in short order, all the way from the Somnium Stars in the far east.

Brothers. This is a day I’ve been awaiting for over 25 years. Decades ago, I visited a game store interested in finding out about this 40k thing, and left with Angels of Death. Captivated by the story of the Dark Angels, intrigued by the final revelation of the Lion sleeping in the Rock, wondering if GW would ever bring him back to the 41st millennium.

Well, it’s been a journey. The game has changed and I have changed. I’ve gotten older and lost the vast majority of my interest in the game and the setting.

But here we are. The Lion in the (plastic) flesh. And I am excited.

That's exactly how I felt when I started this hobby, never thought I'd see him return in the flesh, but I was willing to wait until I saw him, even if never :)
