2-Hour Paint Challenge

So I'm going to try and finish as many models as I can in 2 hours. I have some converted servo automata to do for a dark mech force. The scheme is pretty simple and a lot of it can be done via airbrush so I'm hoping to get at least 10 done. We shall see. This will be a tomorrow night job so I'll post pics then.

So I started these at 8.50 and managed to get most colours down on them in 2 hours. I probably have about 30 mins of the 10 automata to do. I reckon there's another hour or so with the 2 priests and 3 gun platforms.

So I have two commitments I'd like to make for 2024, the first to to do a Randomizer Model every month, and the second is inspired by Dwango's Plodding Along from 2023, I'll be doing a Commentative Series / Named Character from my back log each month.

For January the dice gods have decreed a Blood Angel, and it just so happens I have a SMH S02 Brother Sanctus available....

So a fraction over two hours (about 15 minutes past) but I did go load the dishwasher and check that someone wasn't breaking into my shed without stopping the times so all in all I'll say I just fell short but happy with this for just over two hours work:

Some of the line work is sloppy but so is my white that I rely on to get the glowy effect so.... I am going to be a poor tradesman and blame my tools

@Brother Argent - Looks great, Tesseract Glow or another Contrast paint over white?...

Ork Flesh Contrast over White. Then Caliban Green base to build up the darker patches. A edge highlight of white again on the edges and around the designs. Then a Tesseract Glow wash. Finally pick out the most extreme edges with the white. Unfortunately my whites are all shot so the highlights tend to end up a bit thick. If I had steadier hands I imagine idea be able to pull the effect off better

Ha, stumbled on this topic just as I did something in that vein!

Needed to make a handful of table decorations for a wedding party, so here's a bunch of random minis from ye olde boxes on wires ready to be stuck into little flower pot dioramas for children to gawk at (possible casualties expected, so no valuable minis have been harmed in the making of this gag).

The whole lot took about 15 hours or so.  The old Khorne marine in the corner was the last model in the project and took about 40 minutes from black basecoat to a suitable tabletop level. Now if only I could muster similar speed for projects I actually care about  >:E
