Fantastic work @Interrogator Stobz that is an impressive force you are putting together there!

I have just finished off an Eldar Wind Rider Host, most feared (or perhaps under-costed!) of the pointy-eared ones. Also some Prism cannons, which I have tried to give an effect of having some sort of chameleon/thermoptic camo technology (these units are almost like tank hunters in the game, so thought that would fit).

Got less than 2 weeks to finish off the army for a game. Some Scouts, Exarchs and a Titan to go so need to get cracking!

@Sherrypie Fantastic pics and armies, thanks for sharing. Out of interest, what stat profile are you using for the Dark Mech spiders in NetEA? Cheers.

The stalkers are my friend's models, he runs them with an Iron Warriors list where they are various daemon engines. Small ones are Defilers and big ones are Decimators.

Also nice work Stobz and Paz, the little details on the dreads' shoulders and those camo-effects are neat.

Really great stuff being worked on here, which is cool to see. It’s interesting that lots of people seem to be going for NetEA rather than LI, though perhaps not surprising.

Lately I’ve painted up some Taranis Knights and Mechanicum tanks for a GH review. I’m not entirely sure what to do with them now. Maybe I should check out NetEA as a way to use all these great models.

I’ve slightly converted an Atrapos to be my knight Baron/Seneschal. The sword from a 32mm Praetor works quite well for a Lancer and I have magnetised the arms so they can be an Atrapos still.

Absolutely stunning work on those knight and vehicles @Mandragola! Excellent colour combinations.

I have finished off my final Eldar infantry unit, this time some Scouts courtesy of Vanguard Miniatures. Decided I had given the marines too hard a time using them as corpses on bases so this time went for Orks!

Now just putting together a Phantom Titan to finish off the army, I have just over a week..

Almost the final mini for my Eldar force, finished off this Phantom Titan. Wasn't sure whether to post it here or the Titanicus thread now that forums have been merged, but it's for use in Epic (at least initially) and I have posted my other Eldar stuff here.

Miniature is from Vanguard Miniatures, and scaled a little bigger than the classic GW models (so hopefully won't look too out of place against AT Reavers & Warhounds etc.

I was annoyed at the lack of internet hype around LI and epic scale minis as I think it's some of the best stuff GW have done in years. But I'm partly to blame as I never post pictures of my own stuff, so I'll try to remedy that some more.

Here's my SoH fire raptor I finished a while back.

More to come when I get my hobby desk cleaned up and some proper picture taking setup done.

The best remedy, indeed. It's a nice Raptor!

At our end: I set up two tables for today's games, had a nice couple of 3k GT NetEA rounds with eldar, orks, admech and marines present. My dubstep cannon of doom performed well against both varieties of xenos, blowing up steam gargants and shredding infantry formations like there's no tomorrow.

Even if the gargants are holding hands like the most wholesome xenos Teletubbies that they are, in wub-wub we must purge them.

Agreed. We recently did an article on goonhammer on our favourite GW models to paint. I picked LI stuff. The Titanicus warlord and warhound got picked too. These are my white scar speedy boys.

As Bair had already put his warlord forward I couldn’t put it in the article, but I can post one here. This is a model I did years ago but still one of my favourite things I’ve done.

And lo, something that very seldom happens to me has come to pass and an army is finished.

I present the Craftworld of Dyun-Kel. Just over 4000pts for Epic Space Marine/NetEpic. The army is a mix of mostly Vanguard Miniatures proxies for the infantry, some 3D printed bits and a bag of classic plastic GW Falcons I got for a tenner. Also a couple of classic metal vehicles which I will tell you now were very much more than a tenner lol.

I will save background for my other thread but the basic gist is that they were a Craftworld that very narrowly escaped the destruction of their maiden worlds, but had been tainted too deeply by Slaanesh and would not survive to the 'current' 41st millennium. I have put some purple and pink into the colour to represent this.

No pictures, but I played my first game with the Dark Mechanicum today. It was small, only around 1100 points against my buddy’s Solar Auxilia.

I took both the Purge and Terror Protocol Formations against his Pioneer Company and Armored Company Formations… it was an absolute slaughter. Despite getting a quick jump on the Objectives due to Infiltrate, his Auxilia just couldn’t do much to stop the Constructs. The biggest mistake he made is placing his only Command Squad in a building within range of my Exo-Planar Bombard Serperos and with that he lost the ability to dish out commands to his Pioneer Company and thus kinda threw a spanner in his plans.

My Butchers mopped the floor with Riflemen and a Baneblade, while the Archers did absolutely nothing other than capture an Objective and then get blown to pieces by Vanquishers. The Laser Array Serperos destroyed another Baneblade and at that point he didn’t have too much that could do damage to me.

The Exo-Planar Serps cleared Veletarii out of a building and laid waste to the Vanquisher detachment which included his Tank Commander by completely ignoring the cover he had on the other side of some ruins. The Butchers used their Protocol to gain +2 movement and were able to wipe out his detachment of Sentinels and Tarantulas and all that was left at that point were Ogryn and Quad Launcher Rapiers on the opposite corner of the table where they couldn’t do much to stop me from grabbing all but one Objective.

We called it at the end of Turn 3. At that point, I had lost only lost my detachment of Archers while he had two Vanquishers, a minimum detachment of Ogryn and a minimum detachment of Rapiers left. While he had more points at that time, he conceded.

This probably isn’t a great point level to really make a proper judgement on the units, but I will say that I was quite impressed by the Serperos and Butchers. The Terror Protocol really elevated the Errax to make them something to fear due to their huge charge / march range (10”), particularly in the post-Errata era.

The Serperos in general are just nasty. While mathematically the Laser Array is considered better, the ability to just flat out ignore Cover with the Exo-Planar (and Irradiation Engines) is extremely useful on a dense board and completely eliminates the safety of buildings that infantry otherwise utilize a lot.

Next time, we’re either going to use 1,500 or 2,000.  I started picking up a brush again after two weeks and the loss of my best friend and I’m determined to get the rest of my Dark Mechanicum completed by then (and Infantry box, the Starter Box sans Cybernetica and two boxes of Stalkers and Serperos each). I want to have more options for the next game other than just Constructs, and while I have a Starter Box worth painted, it just didn’t seem sufficient for what I needed, even in a small game.

Figuring out my new setup so here's a bit of a wonky picture of my work in progress Krytos reaver Titan.

I’ve always loved the Krytos scheme, it’s so divergent from what one would expect for a Titan Legio. Looks great! What green did you use, my buddy is looking to paint his soon.

Yeah from the Titan legios this one jumped out to me. Also working on a loyalist Praesagius maniple.

I'm using a mix of the old Vallejo Dark sea Gray and Mig dull Green, finished with some oil dot filtering. It's quite a finicky one to get right. There's a lot simpler and pretty equivalent recipe on the Cult of Paint patreon which I can highly recommend supporting. They use mostly GW paints iirc.

I was wondering if Sons of Horus Green would work, perhaps with Deepkin Flesh mixed in to lighten it up a bit.

Absolutely in my opinion. The reason I didn't want to use SoH green is because my main army is SoH and wanted to differentiate the schemes a bit, but I think most Krytos schemes I see online use SoH green as the base.

That’s fair. I wonder if just adding in the Deepkin would help differentiate it enough from SoH. He’s playing Iron Warriors anyhow, but it would be nice to get something unique.

And some more faffing about, this time with my homebrew Solar Regiment. The Hyperian Lions, counsins to the Saturnyne rams but founded later in the early Crusade when Horus was found and the need for units was excacerbated. Tried to recreate the purple grey from the Black Book solar art and think I got pretty close!
