Cheers all

It might have been an admin issue but for instance the knight lancer is still showing instore price as £102 vs the others showing £96 (it is over £100 rrp so should match the online price) - a while back at least one of the Cerastus knights was showing £102 /15% for for instore and online but that seems to have been updated at least so all are £96 online. One day I'll get one of these rather than just going on the sites to check stock/price and look at them......

As a side note - just (finally) ordered the Lion as it is on black Friday at DS - that's my Christmas present from the kids sorted!

My local (in Canadaland) is doing their standard 15% off on all the box sets.

The 'Nids, Votann, and WE pre-orders were taken by the time I checked their site (~8hrs after they went up).

All the rest of the boxsets (Marines, IG, Orks, and all four AoS factions) are still available today.

I found a number of shops in the UK offering 20-25% these boxes but they were out of stock on what I wanted.

Would be very interested to know which stores those are. 25% was already unusual and at the top end of what discounts you could find before GW changed the trade prices this year, and since then every major store dropped the discount it offers by at least 5%.

FYI, last month I bought the Space Marine Heroes Season 3 box from Dark Sphere and they had a 10% markup on top of the list price - they are now discounting the same product as part of their Black Friday sale - so they clearly aren't as angelic as they may sometimes be portrayed.

Out of interest, how much did you pay? I ask because I don't think we've ever seen an "official" list price for this product; it wasn't on the independent stockists price list and every store seems to be discounting from a different starting point. The most consistent price I can see is £6 per blind pack, so £48 for a box of 8.

I'm not sure this is an error, the vast majority of Dark Sphere's GW products are more expensive to buy in store than they are to order online and have been for as long as I can remember, presumably to cover the additional overheads of running the shop?

There certainly are some products priced the same for both, but I presume this is an intentional effort to shift specific products from store shelves?

What I did learn by checking though is that actually Dark Sphere do seem to be offering 25% off on most things, which surprised me because they definitely dropped to 20% in the immediate aftermath of the change in wholesale prices earlier this year. I wonder if they saw a dip in sales that led them to put it back up again.

I paid £44, Dark Sphere themselves listed the RRP of the box as £40. There would be no incentive for them to list the RRP as lower than the actual RRP when they are still adding a markup on and are abundently clear about that fact. They're now charging £38.60 and saying the RRP is £45.45.

In any event, they were either being misleading about the RRP then, or being misleading about the RRP now. All of them have their own shady practices.

The only thing I can say for sure is that stores changing their mind about what the RRP is between earlier in the year and now seems to be common. When I ordered my set from Alchemists Workshops in June, they too were quoting an RRP of £40 (selling them for 10% off at £36). Now they want £40 (down from a reported RRP of £45). Other places selling them currently for £48, with nothing to state whether that's a full price, a discounted price or a marked up price.

I just find it weird; the RRPs of GW products are usually specific and well-known and because this product wasn't on any of GW's "official" lists we don't know. It almost seems like GW hasn't actually set an RRP and stores have been left to decide it for themselves, a bit like that one-off Catachan Colonel mini.

My local store still has them all up for preorder online and they do ship. I grabbed the space marine one since I have the Cadia one already at another store.

Out of interest what's that store? Some people may be able to get stuff they can't elsewhere.

Found a few still lurking for sale:

Longbow Gaming (UK) at time of posting are showing Astra Militarum, Orks, Space Marines, Tyranids and all four AoS boxes still available to order.

Imps Wargaming (UK) - Guard, Orks, Marines and all 4 AoS sets in stock (but only available for site members to preorder, general sale on 24th Nov)

Gifts for Geeks (UK) - Marines, Bonereapers, Slaves, Soulblight available

Bonus, Black Dragon Miniatures (UK) have a couple of last year's Imperial Fists Bastion Strike Force and Raven Guard Ravenstrike Battleforce in stock

Hopefully those are of use to people!

PSA For UK/Europe - Element Games have presumably found another pallet somewhere or maybe added unsold stock from their physical store to the website because they're now showing every 2023 Battleforce available apart from World Eaters - https://elementgames.co.uk/seasonal - and most of them with more than 10 copies available.

These are at full retail price (no discount) but in all cases that's still better than buying the kits individually at 20% off.
