Also, really tempted to leave the shoulder pad off this arm, it looks really cool from the side angle, but a little empty from the front, so I'll probably finish painting it and then take a 2nd look before deciding for sure. The Blade looks just right I think, has that “hot metal cooling down” look to it. Overall that’s a damn fine model you’ve done there !! I ran some thinned green glaze into the flat recesses (1 part akhelian green, 2 parts contrast medium, 2 parts water, same as I used in the legion shoulder) and added a bit more nihiloc oxide. I'm liking the final effect here. I really like how the leather flaps lay on his back here. I tried a few things I hadn't really done before, like the glazing/layering the skin tones, and it's definitely nice to see it turn out so well. For sure the best model in my case.
