If I Were a Moral Man - Angron WIP

Ok, feeling pretty good about the hue of grey I have on the sword blade after putting the arm on the model.

Also, really tempted to leave the shoulder pad off this arm, it looks really cool from the side angle, but a little empty from the front, so I'll probably finish painting it and then take a 2nd look before deciding for sure.

Looks awesome , thanks for showing pad off/ pad on ! , I’m very tempted to go pad off on that side !, so thanks for showing the difference.
The Blade looks just right I think, has that “hot metal cooling down” look to it.

Overall that’s a damn fine model you’ve done there !!

Cheers, M

Decided to keep the shoulder pad.  I ran some thinned green glaze into the flat recesses (1 part akhelian green, 2 parts contrast medium, 2 parts water, same as I used in the legion shoulder) and added a bit more nihiloc oxide. I'm liking the final effect here.

I really like how the leather flaps lay on his back here.

And attached!

I'm going to give him a holistic once over tomorrow, make sure all the verdigris is even, check for spots that need highlighting or shading that weren't obvious when they were in prices, that sort of thing, then he'll be done done.

Phenomenal work! It's been really great to follow this project through each of its stages. I've also developed an appreciation for the model now too, before I never thought much of it, but now I see it has some really excellent details.

I'll echo the above and what has been said before - I've no real interest in WE but watching this piece come together makes me want to paint the model. I couldn't achieve these heights though!

Thanks for documenting your process, it has been great to follow.

Gorgeous work.

Truly impressive - you must be very happy with the outcome

Super happy with it.  I tried a few things I hadn't really done before, like the glazing/layering the skin tones, and it's definitely nice to see it turn out so well.  For sure the best model in my case.
