So, I figured out where I am getting my banner from for my Dark Commune - I'm stealing a cultist from one of the squads I'm building from my 2 Hedonnites Spearhead boxes (the old one - the new one is all demons).

Here's the first of two squads of cultists built - these are from Blissbarb Archers.  Sorry about the photo quality.

Basically, I cut the bows and quivers off (the quivers were the hardest part) and replaced the bows with various pistols I had (mostly from the Necromunda outlaws kit, but some Escher, Catachan and Cadian ones too - and an Infractor bolt pistol for the squad leader) with close combat weapons from their own kit or from the AoS witch elves kit.

The bottom picture is said squad leader, plus a small guy (I believe he's a token in the actual kit) to replace the guy I'm stealing out of the next squad to be my Commune banner.

Had actually built them all a couple of weeks ago, except the guy with the red foot in the first picture - with him, when I was cutting off the quiver, his foot went flying god knows where, and today I gave up trying to find it and gave him bionics cut of a mechanicus trooper I'm never going to build.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with them - they are a lot of work for 50 points of models, but they make great Slaaneshi cultists, IMHO.

Oh, no. You didn't. These kitbashes are great. And inspiring... I'll need to borrow the concept and see if I can get some AoS Wytch Aelves (or whatever fancy spelling GW went with) work as a bunch of angry Elder women.

Looking forward to this project of yours. And the next bunch of Chaos Marines with the green capes.

Thanks, @Bonehead and @Brother Christopher.

And Brother Christopher, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise - both kit bashing and Slaanesh are my jam, so it was really only a matter of time before I combined the two in this particular fashion.  Its actually an idea I've had percolating in my brain for a while, and which I came to seriously consider when the EC codex came out and I was thinking of Slaangors for spawn for that army - at the time, both the official spawn models and Slaangor were out of stock, so the Hedonittes Spearhead box (which includes these guys) was the only way to get Slaangor.  If the EC codex had cultists as an option, I would have windmill slammed this conversion when the codex came out - instead, it took my Glutos-to-defiler project to kickstart me into buying the box, and then it going out of "print" for me to buy the second.

I see no reason why Witches (however spelled) wouldn't work for angry eldar, though they would be far less armoured (aka not at all) compared to all the GW eldar models - unless you mean Drukhari, in which case they would fit right in with those witches (however spelled).  They are very "jumpy" though, in their poses, so you would want to use them for a unit where that is appropriate (that said, I'm guessing there may be more static models in the range - I've only dealt with the "squad" box).  All the witch bits I have are from kitbashing them with demonettes, which worked pretty well - hardest part was head swapping between those kits, as one has the neck on the head and the other on the torso.

As for the green caped EC, that squad is now painted, and I'm just waiting for the bases to dry to post photos - I should have such tonight.

Love the conversions! I saw someone convert Blissbarbs into Daemonettes, and that's something I'd like to do in the future. I like the bionic leg on the rightmost guy in the first photo, reminds me of the daemons on the EC codex cover.

Thanks, @BadgersinHills - I guess loosing that guy's actual foot was a fortuitous accident.   I'll be converting the mounted guys in the Spearhead box into seekers, so I'll be getting some demons out of them - but that's a later project.

Finished painting my green caped infractors, and am pretty happy - the capes are a bit brighter in person, though the green definitely does look better on the tassels than the larger surfaces.

Particularly happy with the champion's face,  That said, I tried putting a slaanesh symbol tatoo on his head, but it just looked better without it.

Getting my first game in with them tomorrow - running a 1000 point list against my friend's orks in a "teach ourselves the 11th ed rules" match.
