What’re people’s thoughts on the price expectations for the thanatar? More or less than a leviathan?

I’m hoping less - it looks so damned good! Would make a wonderful proxy / addition to my iron warriors (and amazing conversion material!)

The thanatar is quite big, like large oval base kinda large. I'd be shocked if it wasn't more. From Google:

I believe the Thanatar is bigger than the Leviathan so I wouldn't expect it to be cheaper. If we're very luck it'll be the same price but I fully expect it to be more.

Thanatar will probably be the Spartan/Kratos equivalent release.

It actually shocked me how big that chonker is... Now I really want one. I can't do anything useful with it but it would look great in my display case.

I own one, a Thanatar comes to about a little past a knight's waistline. I'd expect it to be between a Grey Knight Dreadknight and a Tau riptide in price.

I'd imagine it follows the same logic as all the other from resin to plastic conversions, which is at least 20-25% cheaper than the original. That would lead to Thanatars being around the £75 pounds mark, as they're now on the webstore for £94.50. Maybe down to £70 if we're lucky.

We're still waiting on Dwarfs for The Old World, as well as Briar & Bone for Warcry, both of which were revealed at Adepticon. Unless something has gone really, really wrong behind the scenes I expect we'll see them first, hopefully as a combined week.

True, but I am hoping that after several weeks focusing on the ‘fantasy’ side of things they’ll want to give us a break with something from the ‘sci-fi’ column.

 

Which could of course be Necromunda but a lad can dream.

Hmm, they've been previewing secundus for a while so I'd expect that'd probably be the first to come out yeah.

My personal guess is August. No real reason to believe that other than giving Skaventide some space. Post launch box they usually do the "starter" sets, right!? And maybe army releases for one side of the box or the other.

Battle Group goes up for pre-order next week, along with a box which includes a Castigator and Acheron.

I am more puzzled by the decals anounced. I do not remember any has been deisclosed so far, do they?

There’s actually a convenience tax added because you now have to click less things on the website so it’s more expensive than 2 separate ones 

 

Seriously though I think because it’s described as a battle group there might be some discount. The Mark III battle group had a discount, so did the Solar Auxilia one and it’s a safe bet the mechanicum one will have a saving. The pattern of these combined boxes seems to be that there’s a discount so fingers crossed.

I am curious to the price as well. It won't be 500 dollars which is what 2 of them costs for me right now from GW but it'll be close. we'll get a little discount on it. Problem is that neither of these two types are played all that often if at all, but I am very tempted.

The Knight box should be like $350 or less, or they won't sell any. Back when knights were  $195 they had a box of 2 with terrain for like $250, so it might not be out of the world for a big discount. Also I wouldn't be suprised if those knights have not really been selling at $250 each. I have 3 Castigators but I don't know many other folks with even 1, and most of those with them are already knight players.

If the Knight discount is good, I might grab this. I have been painfully slow to paint mine but I'm working on HH White Scars so using them as allies might motivate me. I love the Cerastus models and haven't grabbed any yet so this could be awesome!

Yeah that is true. I kinda want or need the lancer, but that is the popular one. It makes sense that it's these two. Hope it's a good discount.
