I am cognisant the Mortals have been neglected a bit, and are desperate for that cuddlemonster to come out of the vent to keep them company, so after Xin takes his turn, I will, as promised, move us all on.

You're all good- running two combats/semi-combats at the same time could get quite confusing. Splitting them up makes sense, as does keeping the cell together for the most part.

You‘re too kind , Sir !

Well, even from a GM's point of view, what people have to remember is, as much as we're (half) chuckling about it, for me it's frustrating as well. In truth, a GM wants Players to succeed, because I want you to uncover my plot, and discover, and have a good time doing it. When crazy numbers happen it can be...derailing, so as much as I twirl my moustache, I understand it is frustrating.

I rolled it, then just sat looking at it.

Gonna be one o' them games?

Yep.  Yep.

I am however suddenly extremely grateful that I did not have Cyrandras use his plasma pistol because of the size of the place, however !

For the love of God and Heaven's cause, man, don't touch it!  :HS:

Xerxes looks nervously at his unreliable weapon and reaches preemptively for the ligature oils* and remembers why he took a minion with the technical knock talent.

*prevents jams for one whole session - Xerxes will be accepting bulk orders and donations to his refinery setup.

I'd forgotten we'd both taken a Plas as our starting gear...

Maybe, if we survive long enough, we really should look into getting one of those purified plasma generators AT was talking about...

Edit: NInja'd on exactly that thought!

"It was just supposed to be a fun little fight to get everyone warmed up for the real thing... now we've got dead Corsairs, exploded jump packs, double-jammed bolters..."

I find moreso than with any other game system, save maybe 3.5E D&D, that Black Crusade games have a strong tendency to become utterly derailed by an unexpected (and frequent) string of poor dice rolls. Truly the gods are laughing at us.

@Mazer Rackham is Ukalegon's jump pack completely compromised again then? And is his helm still functional or is it utterly borked as well?

No, your helmet has just gone 'dark' (it'll reboot) and your jump pack is fine. Just one of your fuel cells is expended.

I'm not into repeating things like that, and a bad roll isn't your fault. Big Boy Trousers are worn by the GM too.

If you'd brought it on yourself, then yeah, sure, frozen broccoli stuck up your bum time, but not today.

Cheers, mate. If you change your mind, I do have a heavy weapons specialist 80% built. Maybe ranged combat is the safer/saner way to approach this game...

- nervously glancing at the new guy with the large plasma gun / loads of ammunition/ flammables/ spare missiles stacked on his body…

- waves hands quickly

”No, really. It’s fine. I’ll take the next Drop Pod down….” :whistling:

Ready to post this in the Suggestions Box:

Dear sirs,

It has come to my attention that there may be a Reaction 'emoji', as the rebellious youth call it, which is missing from the current repertiore.

This: :wallbash:

In context, I have come to believe that it would suit better, and fill the intermediate gap between (Dis)Repectfully Disagree, and Support. We have been playtesting this as a mix of both inside the RPG Subforum, and currently believe a site-wide rollout would be exceptionally beneficial as a way to demonstrate by posters their sincere disagreement with frater who are either by design or purpose ignoring the point being pontificated.

I understand that installing such a Reaction based on a small sub-set of users to be found in the RPG Nook, and to whom it would certainly cater to quite handsomely of late, would be work for a small minority, but - I beleive wholeheartedly that if the Reaction generated no Reputational Points, it would be used sparingly, appropriately and it would further prevent misunderstanding and reciprocal inflammatory posts.

My gratitude for your consideration.

(Dis)Repectfully Disagree

Trust me, with issues between using the Disagree or the Haha Reactions, there are problems aplenty...

(I think(?) you're joking anyway, but I would rate the chances of getting a :wallbash: Reaction at about a bajillion to 1... )

@Mazer Rackham are we planning on keeping Ukalegon unconscious through the human heretics's second-round interview with the GSC, having passed the first round with Druid?

I'm sorry bud, you've lost me. You wouldn't have been privy to the first conversation, so I'm not sure what you're after. For the moment, we've just changed scenes a bit.

Just because it is there Persons will touch it like that proverbial red button.

Disregard -- we're good. I'll get caught up on my placeholders today.
