Well, there he goes. One of God's own prototypes.

I seem to have filed him under extinct....

500xp... I think the Foresight talent as Xerxes has definitely been lacking it.

I'd like that for Atesh as well.

P.S.  Just to double-check; Atesh didn't catch any corruption from the possession?

Scanning the results, I can see no warrant for CP's by RAW.

Foresight seems to fit your character well.

Ahem, @Mazer Rackham, please refer to p.142-143 of Black Crusade Core Rulebook:oops:

Tell you what, I'll let you all peek behind the screen.

Nah, the hell with it - we ball.

As per the rules pointed out to me, Atesh Sapik takes 13 Points of permanent damage to Toughness and Willpower, and a full 10(!) Corruption points.

The dice have decided.

@FabiusV4lcoran let me know how this affects you regarding thresholds, and please update your character sheet when you've got a minute.

Behind the screens

A bit late to the party, but I certainly want to take time to thank everyone involved for a great game and good time also!

Great GM’ing - it certainly feels like we are operating on the desperate fringes of renegagation, truly a collection of scum and desperate measures.

Really enjoy the other characters - one of the best compliments for RPs I can offer is looking at other characters/ concepts thinking “Have to try something like that in a later game” and that’s definitely happening here

Also, I’m happy that I was able to contribute and follow to the game in some way at all, especially after last year. Again - thanks everyone for a good time.

Love the “Razor’s Edge” pun on a possible Iconoclast btw - very fitting!

A bit undecided on XP - I think Warp Sense might fit, as Rakash is getting used to his mutation as well as Child of the Warp - especially after the Perils marathon at the end of Episode I and his recent short cut on Brimstone?
Everybody seems to distrusts a warlock anyway, so might as well embrace it :whistling:

( Think I misspent on Radiant Presence there at creation… ah well …:ermm: )

Are we using those experimental Psy Powers btw? Eying up Levitation just because it’s such a classic and the TK Crush is also interesting…

Do you mean the ones from the supplement in the Google Drive? I don't see why not.

@FabiusV4lcoran sorry mate. I wasn't trying to cripple your character; the core rules are pretty brutal for post-possession heretics (my intent had been to direct our GM's attention to the corruption gain moreso than anything else). Of course, it is well within the remit of the GM to alter or ignore the rules as he or shee sees fit.

@Mazer Rackham with regard to Preternatural Speed and one's use of a Jump Pack, does/should the talent stack multiplicatively with the movement speed bonus afforded by a jump pack? It looks like this is ordinarily a Rank 8 advance for an assault marine in Deathwatch, so my instinct says yes, but wow what a huge performance boost.

For FFG games the general convention is that two doubles equal a triple.

Solid shout.

I agree with AT, and there's plenty of precedent for it. For balance/sense I think this is the best ruling from here on out. Good query.

So in this instance, you triple your base movement on the Charge.

All good?

Updated!  Corruption is at 16, the alignment totals should be accurate.....let me know if I missed something!

@Necronaut I haven't said anything sarcastically or frustratedly.  I asked if there would be consequences because I know that in a 40k story, if I'd gotten possessed and survived, I should at BEST have a nub growing through my forehead.

I'm here to write a story with you guys.  My characters are GOING to die (is my attitude...not my goal).  I ain't trying to murderhobo or get other characters killed...but this is 40k.  This is CHAOS 40k.  Atesh should not have been pushing magic powers left right and center without consequence.

Okay great I thought a 4x multiplier was a bit much. Forgot about the multiplier only being stepped up by one, thanks. Appreciate the insights.

In other news, I believe Ukalegon will take Command +0 and Catfall for his advances, keeping 50xp in the bank.

Hagga took Cold-Hearted for 250, and I've taken Command +10 for 200 (Khorne Dedicated cost), with 50 left over.

I still do want Swift Attack next, and would have preferred that over the Command boost, but even at the Khornate cost of 300, I was 50 short, so it will just have to wait!

So looking at Fab's sheet, it appears you're Devoted to Mr Feathers McGraw, so then, sir. Roll your Infamy, and see if the patron favours you...

Oh I know, I just felt a little bad about inflicting such torments upon your character (IT IS A GOOD PAIN) after Mazer had said he hadn't found any evidence for corruption gain and whatnot. In just about every case in Black Crusade (and the other settings produced by FFG), an encounter with a great daemon all but guarantees some manner of corruption being bestowed upon your character, barring a few exceptions.
