I think there could also be an argument made for Cyrandras being smuggled in along with the humans headed to Bounty to oversee operations there, but obviously that's up to @Xin Ceithan and keeping an 8 ft tall, fully-armoured space wizard hidden is no mean feat.

In all, the astartes are definitely best suited for some smash and grab.

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Agreed, my gut feeling would be mostly a mortal/marine split.

That said, if Kraggan wants to join us, having a Tech with both teams makes sense? Tarh could go with either, but I'd say having a soldier/scout type might be more use for the infiltration team? I'd suggest Crux'as might be a good call for Anointed on that side, either him or Xerxes?

I would say Crux'As for sure being our anointed for the advance team. He could totally pass himself off as a merchant or representative of a rogue trader or somesuch to infiltrate society, with our band of misfits being his retinue.

Disguising Atesh may pose a challenge... Might I propose a plague doctor mask and heavy, voluminous robes?

I was trying to find 'Tallax Hide' but couldn't, what is it?

Khorne book. A particularly heavy example of 'soft' armour.

For a normal cloak though flak over mesh normally does the trick.

On the subject of which can we 'requisition' from our new benefactor? Some suitable disguises, perhaps a null rod and hexagrammatic wards, a portable gellar field...

Just put me in a cage as the Blue Bird of Happiness!  We could be a traveling freak show!!!  I know it's 40k and not Fantasy, but I still feel like this would work.

Talax Hide is on p.43 (ToB) and helps with concussive etc, but yes, the difficulty of grabbing it goes up from Extremely Rare, to Near Unique...

Hmm. She may have left something for you to complete your mission - of course, she would know only about the Helium Platform raid...perhaps if 'Factor Crux'as' could contact the Seneschal again, there may be some leeway - but expect extensions to the jobs, or extra steps, or even another job in return.

Rogue Traders trade - in Gelt, Information, or Blood.

The only problem you will have is actually speaking to them. However, it can be arranged that when you pick up the vessel, you may trade on your Infamy (more as reputation than threats) to acquire extra equipment which could be dropped off/picked up en route. It is up to you whether you mention what you are doing. If it is not in her interests, the Tigress may refuse, so be canny.

Be advised that if you choose to Infamy grab kit for yourself using someone else to do it for you, BC counts that as dependency (based on considerations) and may affect Infamy gains/rates etc. Just to clarify - I do not see getting stuff for a Compact, or simply giving someone something you can't make use of/or storing it in the armoury for team use etc, as Dependency.

@A.T. I would add an explosive collar to the shopping list...

Are you boys planning a racy night out in Swindon? What's the collar for?

While my Wife migh still favor a trip to Scotland, I am developing an increasing interest in this Swindon place…. I keep hearing so many interesting things about it

Once again, it seems  I should have gone with the Alpha  Legion  :)

It’d certainly be a fun ride - especially if we’d follow the idea of the traveling show !

But I think Rakash is more interested in getting his claws into the Razor’s Edge and dragging the RT towards Blackheart

Trust me, go to Scotland. Swindon has a single roundabout and an Aldi. That's it, and the roundabout is only so you have a last chance to change your mind and leave.

Anyway...

Do we want to make contact with the Seneschal for more stuffs? Going once...

Because Scotland is so cosmopolitan and urbane?

I'd much prefer to go killing with my boys, but I'm not bad at infiltration.  If the squishy flesh bags need someone to babysit them, I'm an option.

Depends on the size of your Sporran.

I'm pretty sure Tarh Teshub (Trokair) is a hoomin you'd get on with - how's your Survival Skill?

Compacts have been updated with proposed anointed and signatories.

If those 2 slots (1 for each Compact) are left for Tarh and Obadiah to fill in, I would definitely suggest Tarh to Bounty and Obadiah to the mines!

While there is overlap on many of their skills, one being human sized and the other having sealed power armour definitely plays to choosing certain environments...?

If the slot numbers aren't set, ignore this!

Tarh would actually get to deploy Mithra on Bounty, so I think this would be better for the pair of them - but Tro has stipulated he doesn't mind being put in Marine Threat level...so...we've got until Thursday.

EDIT: To be fair, the percentage chance of explosions on Bounty is very low. Conversely on KT-41 Upsilon, it's Kaboom O'Clock.

@Lord_Ikka @A.T.

So Crux'as will be the carnival barker...Xerxes we need you to fabricate a cage big enough for Atesh.....

We should probably get some more freaks together.  I'm not sure how to go about that...

EDIT: In other news, now, apart from the current Player I'm onboarding, the roster for this game is now officially full/closed.

There are usually some mutants about in any Imperial world and Crux'as should be able to sniff them out. From there we can probably find some malcontents and maybe even a nascent cult or two- if so, then that is Crux'as' bread-and-butter. Unless there is a full-on Chaos cult with a very charismatic leader, I think the Smiler should be able to do some working in taking over control, especially with the help of a psyker like Atesh and Xerxes/Tarh as the muscle.

Mr @Lord_Ikka are you happy for Crux'as to be the Anointed, and are you also going to dedicate your Compact?
