So I went ahead and redid the blue sword, in the lightning effect style, and I like it more,

THEN I realised that Nemisis Force Weapons, ARE FORCE weapons, which I typically paint in purples...so I had to try it,

So, what day you? Green, Blue or Purple?

I throw my lot in with team purple, seems the most striking.

My own weekly progress, finished the first 5 of the despoilers and old horny here, wrapping up the trifecta of characters

Little slow going, but I'm iterating on a new method for doing the red to speed things up, need to subject these guys to Matt varnish to see how they fare. I think I need to lay off the storm host drybrush though, makes em too shiny.

Would it be too disjointed to have the different colours associated to rank/function?

Blue for PA units and Brotherhood Terminators

Green for Paladins

Purple for Characters (GM, Voldus, Librarian etc)?

Like, it represents their strength within the Warp?

It depends on how cohesive the rest of your army looks.

I had experimented with different colored weapons for my armies before, but in my case, it did not work (but my painting has been much less cohesive in the past).

Just try it out. What is there to lose?

This is a nice hobby justification for having some fun with different colours. I suppose it won't affect the look and feel of the entire army, too.

However, if you're looking for a cohesive army, I'd stick to the colours that are closer on the palette (green and blue) or just go with the blue which matches the overall paint scheme best. Having said that, I like the 'cowards' decision:' go with the different colours for different ranks (I know that I did that for my guys)!

And here come my 2 contributions for Nov.:

- Additional Sicarians:

- Kustom Berserk Flying Votann:

More in my Blogs and Galleries:

More Sicarians - AM Not-Stygies - A Blog about building a new Army - The Bolter and Chainsword

U.F.O. 2 - Look who's coming for dinner - Bouargh´s miniatures´ closet clean-up - The Bolter and Chainsword

What will be the next job? I still dunno, atm it is time to apply "range rotation" and go painting some WFB miniatures. More night gobs in perspective -  way to go=120 left (approx).

Yet for December, I anticipate a KT: I have ordered some Navy Breachers to be used with a custom Rogue Trader Retinue (Lady Credo as RT, kit bashed Biophagus & Sanctus for proxy Medic and assassin + a Heretek as the entourage mechyboy). Unless I change my mind.

I'm only about 18 days late on my october vow, but at least it's done.

I won't vow anything for november, instead I'll try and finish a few other marines I started a while ago. I also have something like 40 pairs of eyes waiting for their glowing.
