I have augury and mind link. I'll see if there's anything I can do....although I don't have pilot, so I'm essentially asking the GM if I can even help.

Hmm... I don't think you have time for the proper preparations for Augury, and even if you did the not on the skein of fate nature of this adventure might limit what you could divine in any case.

Mind link on the other hand seems fine. I guess if you are linked you can perceive some of Kelman's sensory inputs and perhaps provide some additional focus or such.

If you successfully cast the Mind Link (as per the RT psychic rules*) then a successful (Challenging +0) Awareness Test will allow you to add +10 Assist to Akylas's pilot test, a fail on the awareness test will however distract Kelman  and impose an additional -10 on his pilot test.

You can make one awareness test for every other pilot test being performed (on account of it all happening very quickly).

If you add any of the other passengers to the Mind Link then they can each add +5 to the awareness test, however a failed awareness test will impose a -10 to the pilot test for each added mind that provided a +5 (to many minds can be distracting).

I guess if you do mind link you may want to coordinate with Akylas Out of Character so that any + or - to his pilot test can be applied correctly. perhaps a little shared narrative.

Does that hat make sense to everybody?  I'll let you decide your risk verses reward choices.

* As the Warlock powers are all designed with the Rouge Trader psychic rules and not necessarily the DH rules, for this game all psychic stuff will use RT rules. I don't think this will mechanically affect anybody other than Mazer, so hopefully not to confusing... (yes I can see the hole I have dug for myself, no I don't need a ladder, I hope).

I can do the first roll tonight or hold off a bit while everyone decides what to do.

With the mind link being every other roll maybe start on test 2+ since test 1 should be the *easiest to pass?

*He says as if he won't roll a 94

I think it only respectful that a fellow Eldar would allow their pilot the grace of failing one or two of the rolls before bailing out on them lightening the load to improve performance.

Absolutely.

You've been here before, haven't you...?

@Akylas If you want to use AT's approach, and roll a few tests, no sweat, I've got to get my head around a couple of things first anyway.

EDIT:

I'm going to do some number crunching here, as this gets...complicated.

So, Focus Power test to Mind Link. RT Core says it has to be fettered, which is no problem, as I have Eldar Techniques. I cast Fettered, halving PR, (so 3/2 = 1.5, rd Up) = 2. Further, I count as gaining DoS equal to PR (3) - 1D5 (in this case 1) = 2.

My awareness isn't great, though. Even with HS (Sight) that only gives me 51. With the added caveats, I'm not sure that it's worth imposing further risks. I didn't take Enhance as a Warlock Power, but even if I did, it wouldn't help here.

Like a true Farseer, I don't like the odds. Eating the crash will liekly be safer, lol.

@Trokair GM, please give me a steer - SECRETS OF THE SEERS (TALENT), P124 Navis Primer. How does this interact with our vehicle?

I'll get back to you as soon as I have passed a Int (GM) test and a Forbidden Lore (FFG) test...

Edit: So having had a look I don't think that dose anything for you mechanically, as its primary purpose is to turn on  Witch-Edge weapon quality of the Singing Spear/Witchblade, and Featherflight is not either.

However fluff wise I can see why it might be relevant of sort, as a deeper connection to the wraithbone might help in some way. hmm lets say...

if you can RP it well then instead of mind linking to Kelman you can mind link to Featherflights systems directly. However if you do so you cant include anybody else in the mind link. If you do this then your Awareness tests as described above will be difficult (-10) instead as you are not going to be familiar with the Eldar equivalent of computer tech/machine spirit etc interface for a flyer). On the flip side a fail on the awareness test is not going to impost a -10 penalty on Kelman pilot test as failour on the test will be you not understanding the Featherfligths system , not you distracting our pilot.

How dose that sound?

Don't sweat it, I've decided to put faith in my helmet.

I had this idea of recalling her experience of the Pollineach, from the garden, but this time having more success because she was focused, which would incur precision telekenisis to re-grow parts of the wraithbone ship, which might help the pilot, etc etc.

With my GM hat on, that got a bit too complicated with the ability to auto-pass though...

First 2 rolls made. Do I have it right that they get harder only for each fail and stay at starting difficulty until then?

Correct, so far so good, though yest the trend of your rolls could be worrisome. Only two more passed to touchdown, are you feeling lucky?

Also for future In Character posts, could you turn out of character stuff, such as rolls green.

Remember that as Eldar you all have Unnatural Agility (x2) which doubles your Agility bonus, so for most of you that’s a +8 to your initiative roll (and Evil Eye’s Scorpion has an AG bonus of 10 if memory serves).

@Mike Zulu, for reasons I don’t recall now Ialathial has Lighting Reflexes, which doubles the Agility bonus specifically when making an initiative roll. So that is a +16 to your d10.

So ‘tomorrow’ actually was later today. Good luck.

Evil Eye sends his apologies, life has been life and he has to dip out of the game. For the moment I will treat Kemedra as unconscious and if Evil Eye can come back in the near future we work from there, if not then I’ll work it out with the next story progression.
