Trokair
As Ialandranth stepped through the portal was at first resistant, as if waking into a strong wind, then the gate relented. The gravity shift almost caused you to misstep, not stronger or weaker to a noticeable degree, but at an inconvenient angle. The imposed slowness of the water and Eldar agility allows you to catch yourself and rebalance instead of falling back through the portal. Taking a few steps and turning back you can see the cause. The gate mechanism on this side had slid and half fallen and now lay at an angle. Perhaps its foundations had been undermined by the water over time, so that it tilted and sunk. The surface if not as far above you as it had appeared; maybe half your height again, without your armour you could have easily drifted up. Instead you had no choice but to trudge up slope and into the shallows, each step blooming up slick and debris. Breaching the surface your helmet lenses adjust, you emerged facing the dawn and the landscape ahead of you is hidden by sunlight. With darkened lenses you can see a little better but still light obscured. Gentle vegetation grew along the shore edge to the left and right as far as you can see. Some trees scattered about but a little light to be a forest. Ahead, and al little to your left, there are some structures, or ruins perhaps. You would need to wait for the sun to rise further, or get closer to properly see. Your armour’s system report a breathable atmosphere, if a little more oxygenated then craftworld norm.
