Ialandranth Veilseeker

 

That the guardian was here raised questions as to the humans involvement, they would have been no match individually but their numbers were vast and their nature would have seen it hunted despite the cost.

 

Ialandranth flickered between realities covering the distance to the dark kin in an instant, Ialathial was correct in his assessment.

 

Run - 60m max distance - if the middle-east greenery offers full concealment he'll hide behind that, otherwise north into the heavier concealment

As you materialise in the real again you see you were on target, crouched low in the cover of the tree trunk, the rocky outcrop to your left.

 

From here you can see the Dark Elder grouped around their Raider, which was actually resting on the ground. With it still you could also see extensive damage. The entire hull was blistered and scorched.

 

Your suits blurt an alert at you, radiation warning, nearby.

 

There, in the cover by the rock, a little away from the tree trunk you where behind, one of the Dark Kin. The Kabalite had not spotted you, too preoccupied. The Armour was also scared and coming out in blisters in places.   

 

 

Dark Kin 4

 

With a cry, whether of frustration or rage or some other emotion, it is distorted by distance and battle noise, but it leaves you all with a sense of unease, the Dark Eldar unleashed a volley Splinter rifle fire into the Trees.

Fate guided the monomolecular shuriken at Khaine bidding, the Dark Kin twisting to try and escape vengeance. A severed arm hangs then falls from the torso entirely, and the Kabalite Eldar sinks to their knees with a dull thud, keeling over into the grass never to rise again.

Stopping and spinning around all of a sudden the Eldar cried out in alarm and unleashed a volley with its splinter rifle at the Fire Dragon to its south east. It must have been a reflective panic that pulled the trigger, for the shards prattled harmlessly into the grass and trees around Venkarryn

With a snarl quite out of place on his face in normal circumstances the Reaper aims at the Dark kin in question. While he only manages to shred the bushes near the enemy Eldar, hopefully it's enough to distract them from targeting his ally.

Scrambling up and around the rock a little the Dark Kin finds a good place from which to perch and spot a target while retaining some cover, however the splinter rifle chose that moment to spite the Eldar.

The dark kin had scattered to make it difficult for their foe to focus fire, but in doing so had left themselves isolated and vulnerable. One by one they could be hunted, but perhaps the vehicle and the weapon it carried would be the greater prize.

 

Warp jump to point blank range of the closest dark eldar and semi-auto fire.

 

If the target is killed then use the semi-auto move to vanish back into the trees, if not then use it to move into close combat

Not sure you needed a Wrap jump to your target as Dark Kin 5 was approx 8m away.

 

The monomolecular mesh of the Death Spinner cut through the unfortunate Eldar, before rebounding of the hard rock and further fricasseeing the corpse as it slid into the grass. A red mist cloud sprays outwards, then rains out into droplets. Your armours radiation alert spikes and shrills as you retreat into the cover of the undergrowth underneath the tree.

The aspect of reaper stood as a clear target against the surrounding vegetation, and it had spoken for one of the Kabilites already, and tried for another. No More, The Eldar raised the splinter rifle and let rip.

“Kelman, I am repositioning,” Duskstrider announced before sprinting across the field. He needed a better firing line on the remaining hostiles…

 

Run: Ialathial will run 24 m N/NNE to within the treeline, positioning himself on the West side of a convenient tree trunk.

Saoirse’s phantom must takes Easy +30 Toughness test for being within combat range of the Dark Eldar corpse, failure inflicts 1d10 Damage from radiation (no TB or Armour mitigation) and 1 level of fatigue. I am aware that as a psychic manifestation it sould not suffer any ill effect, hence the +30 to the test, but think of it as disrupting the psychic energy holding it together.

Perhaps the Dark Eldar had been lining up a shot at the Reaper, or caught a glimpse of muzzle flash, regardless he was light on his feet, darting out of the way and behind the tree he had earlier used at cover. The Tree however was not as robust as the Eldar would have thought, for several of Reaper Launchers micro missiles took junks out of it and one even found its way through to strike Kabilite.

First of all, due to the Reapers Long Range of 275m you are within half range for a +10 to hit, so that’s an extra DoS and therefore an extra Hit, taking you up to the max 6 for a Reaper Launcher.

Per table 7-6 (p190) It is then Leg, Body, Arm, Head and then back to Body for all subsequent hits.

With the Dracon’s quarry blasted rather than captured they would be in trouble, but he could focus on the pesky Craftworlders that had interfered and by the sounds of the coms done in for several of the squad, weaklings.

 

Moving along the edge of the Raider he scanned the terrain, seeking prey. There, a Aspect Warrior, that would do.
