On the other hand, only the bolt pistol can be used on the off-chance your character gets swamped in CQC (though I suppose having a chainsword obviates the need).

If you're desperate, you can nipple-twist as a half-action grapple.

I thought about that, but I think a shot or two at longer range is more useful than a two-weapon attack in melee that comes with some penalties. The chainsword should help in melee, I hope, if it comes to that. The best case is that the combination of heavy bolter and heavy flamer from both Devs covers most potential issues with charging hordes.

I have added a power weapon (20 Req) to Xin's Req sheet as previous discussion. Whether it's an axe or what is up to the Player as they're the same cost. With Xin withdrawing his Honour Blades request, unless someone else wants to consider them, I will close the query off.

Requests are outstanding for a Bike Bolter reload (8 Req) and and a DW Suspensor (25 Req).

30 Req remain.

I might consider the Honour Blades at some point in the future, if we get to the point of earning more xp - Devs can take Stalwart Defence, so a 70(ish) target Parry vs all attacks could be useful! But for now, not bothered.

I'm not fussed on the Suspensor, if the Req is being used then I'll withdraw that suggestion.

So if Tro takes the reload, that leaves us with 22 to spend?

Edit: I just noticed on the sheet that Nolites took the Deed that grants Counter-Attack (good choice!) but he doesn't have a Balanced sword for Parrying - would that be something @grailkeeper might want to use some Req to take? (or is he taking the free Chainsword our GM offered to everyone?)

The Bike Twin Bolter Reload is not a priority, more of a if there is spare Req thing.

If I read the Req sheet right we have two player who have not chosen anything yet, so if we still have a few days let see if either of them wants anything.

I only requisitioned the Cartograph so that there was enough RP's left over so that you could get a DW Suspensor.

Now you don't want it!

I did very much appreciate your generosity, but after discussion with Mazer earlier in this thread, I figured the Motion Predictor was actually a better pick at the moment? It is 20 rather than 25, so I still didn't have enough personal Req for it, so I still do appreciate your making it possible!

Edit: Then for a while it was looking like we were going to have 60ish Req unused, so I said 'hell, I'll have the Suspensor too if no-one else wants anything!' ...but I wasn't really expecting that to happen!

That's okay then.

The Motion Detector is a good choice, Draak has one for Grendl.

IIRC, Grail said sommat about standard gear back in the thread, but I might be imagining it. The Chainsword will work wonders there.

What about a Chieftain Trophy Rack at 15 Req?

If you'd like. Back banner, gives Fear (1) against enemies, IIRC.

Back banner only works on the Leader (which I think everyone was in agreement should be Xin?), so Enkush would only benefit from the Fear 1 bit - I'm not sure, but I'd guess there are most cost effective ways to get it?

Not sure how much Orks feal about Fear.

You can read this in the materials, but as long as there's a handful of them, not much.

As I mentioned to another Player, Fear will be useful when you're clearing the hive and bumping into renegade militias etc.

EDIT: I hope everyone is now happy with their characters, because no further changes (bar gear) will be allowed from this point on.

Are you putting your shoes on first?

Per Adeptus Mechanicus Treatise on the Donning of Powered and Unpowered Garments, CVIIIth Edition, Section MXXXVI, Subsection MMXIV, Paragraph II:

"Thou shalt don thy pants in the manner concurrent with all of His subjects who art free of mutation, for the blessed human form shalt never be perverted nor twisted, and mutation is the mark of Heresy. Two is the number of legs thou shalt possess in accordance with Imperial Standard Clothing Formulations, for two legs is what the Omnissiah, hallowed be His name, in His Infinite Wisdom, hath provided as the appropriate number of locomotive limbs. That number is two, a right and blessed number, and so shall it ever be. Thou shalt not possess three legs, and four or more legs is right out. Mutation is Heresy. Possessing more than two legs is Heresy. Pants produced possessing more than two pant legs is Heresy. Thou shalt not blaspheme against the Standard Human Form. Having fewer than two legs is acceptable, and a sign of fervent dedication to the cause of Humanity, and one should consider entreating His Most Holy Priests of His Blessed Technology to seek a replacement unit at very reasonable repayment terms. Thou shalt don thy pants as thy Lord and Savior doth: one leg at a time."

Edited by Necronaut

Regrettably, you have applied, however righteously and rightfully the Treatise; yet thou hast not digested Codicil 11-2/4b, which states:

'You put your legs in the big hole at the top, first.'
