Hi Folks,

Long time no post

I'm currently looking at my collection of Blood Angels for the 10th Company and I am really getting fed up with Suppressors not being in their individual box so would it be too in-accurate lore wise to not have any in my 10th company collection? I have a squad of three already but getting hold of them is a pain

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Curious - did you MEAN 10th Company?  Isn't that scouts and Phobos armor? In which case I would say it would be FINE not to have suppressors in the 10th, since I don't think they belong anyway.

Yeah sorry the 10th company as I'm trying to collect the full company Vanguard wise but I was trying to see between eliminators and suppressors ^^

(EDIT: Should have hit "refresh" before post. I missed the two previous comments. Anyway...)

Yeah, I'm sure he meant 10th Company. People have been putting Suppressors there ever since they appeared in Shadowspear for a couple of reasons:

1) They have always been shown as part of the "Vanguard" Marines, even though they're NOT sneaky inflitration/sabotage/assassination types at all. They're just among the first of the heavy backup to arrive once the shooting starts. Outriders, Speeders, and Assault Marines with Jump Packs have every bit as much right to be considered Vanguard Marines as the Suppressors do - they were just never bundled onto a set of shared sprues with the actual Vanguard the way Suppressors have been,

2) Suppressors actually do wear Phobos - but only partially. Their armor pattern is called "Omnis" and is actually a combination of the heavier Gravis and the light Phobos pieces. BUT the reason they feature Phobos bits at all isn't to be sneaky. It's because it's lighter than Tacticus and between the Gravis boots and stabilizers and the Accelerator Autocannons, the rest of the armor had to be lightened as much as possible to keep the tubby boys off the ground. It's a small concession toward realism on the part of Goodwin and Co. that's unfortunately been used to back up the misconception that they're wearing a part-Phobos kit in order to be stealthy.

My vote (as if it weren't obvious by now): No, Suppressors don't really belong in 10th so OP definitely shouldn't feel bad about excluding them.
