You may (or may not) have noticed that we have added a direct link to this club from the + PBP Games + subforum.

The forum icon, circled in goldenrod, normally indicates that a member has new unread posts in a forum. With clubs (and other redirects, such as to a blog category or an album category), the icon doesn't work the same way. With the forums, the icon doesn't appear or is faded if there are no new unread posts in that forum. With the other features (i.e., the redirects), the image always appears in its full brightness. This is the reason for the redirects having special icons:

With the Nook now having a redirect icon from the Forums, we have two options:

  • Since the Nook is a club, we could use the normal Clubs redirect iconRedirectIconClub.gif.682ed04d4b62ff991c8, or
  • The members of the Nook can create a custom redirect icon

I have a feeling I know which option y'all want to go with, but I don't want to be presumptuous.

If you're fine with the standard icon, easy peasy - I'll make that the icon post haste.

If you'd prefer to create a custom icon, there are some requirements/limitations:

  • The image must be 48 pixels wide by 28 pixels high.
  • The actual icon should be no larger than 28 pixels wide by 28 pixels high, centered in the 48x28 area.
  • The icon must work with both the dark and light themes (i.e., there must be contrast).
  • The image must be a .gif with a transparent background.

I'm happy to assist with the creation of the icon, including taking your suggestions and coming up with a suitable image that meets your description.

I'll give y'all some time to discuss and come to a consensus.

My first thought was a 40k quill pen of some sort? Maybe that is too obvious, though?

Seconded, though I have no idea bout how to make such an image.

While it might be obvious I think we want something fairly simple and self explanatory given that it will be small, and a link from PBP forum to the club so may serve to draw in new participants.

Only Caveat here I see is - what’s the Cabal of Dead Ink going to use?!

The Club, obviously:whistling:

( With the Drukhari game postponed, I haven’t gotten very far with hacking up a proper rune for the Cabal - though I’m looking into opening an Index Xenos file with the stuff I have and go from there once things settle down a bit … )

Maybe something with Dice for the gaming association? The icon is pretty small, though..

Maybe a Pair of d6 rolling out of a skull cup?

A ServoSkull with a d20 lens for the cybernetic eye?

A drukhari game?  I'm new to the forum and I'm keeping an eye out for any pbp games that I can jump in on; you're making a drukhari game?

Welcome to both the B&C and the Nook @FabiusV4lcoran !

@Mazer Rackham  was kind enough to spring the idea of keeping some of us in the flow  with more a of laid back narrative style of games away back and we decided try looking into the Drukhari side of thing. I am sucker for world building and lore, so I waded into brewing something up for that and still have some of the scribbles and notes, so I’m thinking of putting them to work in the Liber or Drukhari section to expand on that.

Recent events have put that idea on hold ATM. So, sadly no. There isn’t any Drukhari RPG currently on the Nook ( at least while I am writing this….)

But you’re certainly in the right place - there are a couple of games whose current story arc is closing up, so  there’ll surely be an opportunity for a game !

Thanks!  I'll definitely keep an eye out.  I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for your 'scribbles'.  They're a really interesting faction for sure.
