Bjorn the Fell-handed novel from Justin D Hill. Steve Parker's Deathwatch is also getting an LE re-release.

The novel sees a ghost ship bearing down on Bjorn’s homeworld carrying an ancient foe, and with heretics from the traitorous Death Guard set to bring poxes and poisons to Fenris, the ancient warrior rises to its defence.

Back to the staggered LE/regular release, boo this article. But the book sounds like it'd be fun

I am still holding onto hope that Deathwatch also gets an audio release, since they only did the second book.

Another 40K Characters novel? I'm happy to see that and curious to see what Hill cooks there.

Deathwatch LE? I'm probably in minority but these "LE" are just damn cheap and lazy, same as Harrowmaster, Cadia, Steel Tread, etc. Just put a different coating on regular hardback, double the price and there you have LE.

"The novel sees a ghost ship bearing down on Bjorn’s homeworld carrying an ancient foe, and with heretics from the traitorous..."

Oh gosh! Did someone remember the plot thread from In Wolves Clothing, of Lucius the Eternal taking over a Space Wolves ship with the intention of causing a ruckus and forcing the 'Wolves to rouse Bjorn to fight him? Because that would be -

"...Death Guard set to bring poxes and poisons to Fenris, the ancient warrior rises to its defence."

Oh... well, more Death Guard will be fun too...

The novel sees a ghost ship bearing down on Bjorn’s homeworld carrying an ancient foe, and with heretics from the traitorous Death Guard set to bring poxes and poisons to Fenris, the ancient warrior rises to its defence.

This will either be boring as sin or a much-needed look into what it's like to be the only loyalist Heresy survivor circa 40k that isn't a primarch or a mishmash of different brains. Weird how little this element is ever touched on - Bjorn's always "he's really old" and not often "this guy walked with the Emperor."

I do think it's funny that Fenris is getting invaded again

I imagine the High Lords at this point are saying:

"We have reports that Fenris is fighting off an invasion by Chaos forces."

"Oh so it must be Tuesday"

"Bjorn is reportedly saving the day"

"Tuesday evening then, I'll set my chrono"

I can’t stop chuckling about this. The traitor legions must think that the Space Wolves are Charmin-soft at this point if they keep going after the Wolves’ home-world XD. Although, Tzeentch AND Nurgle corrupted Fenris would be an insane place to be, so I’m intrigued to see if/how Hill explores that situation.

I like both the Bjorn covers. Great for a short novel exploring a single character. The LE is superb, gothic and solid, but I'll be buying the regular edition.

There is already a great depiction of Bjorn getting woken up in the basement of The Fang to fight off invaders in Chris Wraight's Battle of the Fang, and he is a cranky boy.

I'm a big Thousand Sons fan, so naturally the SW are just the absolute worst, but Wraight did a good job with Bjorn.

I got multiple payment errors and other website errors, as it's usual at this point, so missed out. But on a positive notes, I sold 10+ of my old LEs and the prices some people are willing to pay are nuts

My credit card got declined when buying wicked and the warped but paypal seemed to got through quickly and without a hitch, at this point I just changed that to my default.
I've..looked at what some of my LEs are going for and I'm still amazed at what people are willing to pay. They're still going to stay on my bookshelf but at this point Im considering insuring them jeez

Condolences to those who couldn't get it (truly, not trying to sound sarcastic)

I was close to trying to grab one, but after what happened with the Cain mini, (took about 35 minutes total and was way more frustrating with website issues than it should be) I closed the browser instead

They did send me a link to do a trustpilot review for them after that purchase, and let me tell you that was cathartic. Not that itll change anything, but still

Speaking of website issues, who the hell thought it was a good idea to have the category headers for the different systems hidden behind a Shop-button, just to do one more layer of their horrible navigation system?

Such a pain.
