My husband got me the sororitas army box to build as an advent calendar since it's got 25 models, and of course since I'm me I'm instead going to build them as word bearers' fanatics. I'm a little behind, but got some time to work at it!

Here's the first two so far:

I like the "spikeyising" on their head  (it feels like it might not feel out of place on a Goliath ganger...)

Definitely! I was pleasantly surprised at how well the head fit (even if I did cut the sister head's collar off to get the height right)

Impressive! I might have to steal your kitbash idea someday.

definitely let me know if you do! I am really happy with the Jackal/Repentia parts mix so far, and think I might see how sister heads on jackal bodies work as well.

Oh, nice kitbash.

Thanks!

Nice work - I do like the second one.

the fact that the kitbash didn't require anything too extensive except careful cutting was an enormous blessing. I wasn't sure until I pushed all the pieces together that it would fully work, with the weapon from the jackals but the handles from repentia

Dec 5

Need to clean up some moldlines/spruegoo

Also, I'm leaning toward calling them lacrimata, with the idea that the cannisters on their backs hold the tears of daemons (or concoctions derived thereof that are mixed with stimulants and other combat drugs). They go into battle overcome with religious fervor, a state of unholy grace with tears streaming from their own eyes (blood as tears, in the case of those marked by Khorne, I think). Should be fun to paint.

The whole group looks fantastic, love the double chainaxe minis in particular!

I am really happy with them and Dec 2 in particular, I feel like they ended up with a lot of character. Khorne inspired me then, apparently.

The Lacrimata's Minder (name to be determined)

And this is how it is (un)assembled so that I'll still be able to paint it! Wondering if I should drill out the clothing holes though

And next unit start, Dec 11-15 from left to right:

only a little? I'll have to try harder

That is okay, the exterminatus order is primed and waiting. It is not too late to return to the light of the Blessed Emperor.

Kudos on the modelling/conversions and great goal 25 models as an advent.

Thinking about what to name the lacrimata's minder, and I'm considering
Lacrimata Stimula (to represent the combat drug laced daemon tears effects, as well as referencing the latin for a goad, and implying the way she influences all around with censor, whip, and word)
Lacrimata Flagella (sounds weird, but a whip is more accurate here, and doesn't have the same slaaneshi implication as Stimula)
Scourge-Matron, due to the use of scourge to mean whip based punishment, but also because it's got a fun chaosy type vibe to the name and feels good, even if not as descriptive)

open to thoughts!
