Finally finished this guy up, was a rescue project I started in January 

 

 

Still trying to really nail down how i want to do the other colors on the Custodes, but I should be moving forward with the vehicles in the next couple of days depending on motivation levels

Finished up the vehicle portion of the custodes batch

 

Still have to finish up 10x Custodian Guard and 3x termies.

 

 

Really enjoyed painting the Telemon, the pallas were a bit dull

Great use of decals on the Knight!

 

I like that you’ve gone with a muted and militaristic scheme on your Custodes.

Very nice - I like the more toned-down look of the Custodes vehicles, instead of their normal "blingy" appearance.

And finished off the sprint of Custodes with two squads of Custodian Guard and one of Allarus Terminators.

 

 

I should finally finish the 3 predator destructors tomorrow as well, just finished edge highlighting so battle damage, pigments, and OSL will wrap them up. 

 

Then... Huron and friends! And other stuff probably because ADHD.

Mad sprint to the end of February, finished all these up in the last couple of days.

 

The preds have been on the bench for probably close to a year, so it's nice to finally crank them out. Disco has only been there for a few months but it's felt like longer

I hope whoever designed that and the person who approved it have phone chargers that don't work for the rest of their lives. 

 

Working on the rest of the crew as well as trying to quickly knock out an Abhorrent chassis, even if I dont have any shoulder joints to mount weapons on. Didn't even realize I'd used them all lol

His face is very cartoony. Only downside of the figure imho.

Got a bit more done on Huron and Friends today. Actually had a really successful liquid mask application and removal too, which is a change from what feels like the norm

 

I'd masked over all the reds, opting to airbrush the black trim since my hand brush blending isn't great. Was a little paranoid after applying the mask but using a toothpick to remove worked like a charm.

Bit more work in on two other projects

 

Abhorrent is the first time I've used Turbo Dork paint, with an allegedly golden/prismatic metallic on the trim.

 

 

I'm going to add some Reikland Fleshshade tomorrow to the trim to see if it helps build a little more depth since I'm not hugely happy with the result.

 

Next up, working on a commission for a local and trying my hardest to color match... when I can't see the difference. I've gotten 2 nights of work in on the castigator 

 

 

This one is the reference model. My blues are a bit too dark so I may go back with some grey-blue and mist it over some panels, but we'll see.

 

 

Tomorrow I'll have to finish assembling the ammo belt and try to get all the detail work done so I can ideally varnish and do decals overnight on Wednesday.

Finished up the first model from the Huron and Friends box

 

 

And got the decals on the castigator legs. They're curing overnight. Ideally I can get to torso and arm decals tomorrow night, i just finished putting together the ammo feeder so that'll need to get painted beforehand but should be quick

 

 

 

Lastly... new toy. Bought one that had been used twice from a local. Very excited to try it out, but don't really have anything I'm early WIP on to do so.
