This 48-page supplement includes new Leviathan Missions designed to accommodate vast numbers of vehicles in asymmetric clashes, with support for chaotic multiplayer battles that pitch everyone’s armoured squadrons against each other. It’s full of in-depth lore about the creation and organisation of the super-heavy fleets fielded by the Legiones Astartes, culminating in new Exemplary Battles that let you refight notorious vehicle-heavy engagements like the Siege of Portresh.

I love the Whirlwind, however redundant it feels owing to the Scorpius existing. Interested in seeing what the various special ammunition loads mentioned do.

Glaive it's my favourite super heavy tank, but nowadays I have the same problem with the Fellblade: Amazing design, lot of cool options, but too high prize and too big for my current miniatures' space. And I must add, same as any other super heavy tank, very scarce options to use it in a game play.

The Whirlwind it's a total different tale.I love the retro style of this one, looking so similar to the first one appeared in the WD,35 years ago or so. If the box follows the same design of the Scorpius, a complete Rhino with all the pieces AND the main weapon, at least I will purchase one,not caring too much about the rules.

I presume the same as what, or very similar to what, it had in 2.0? I thought it was a 3.0 legacy unit too, but it's not in the 1.1 doc

Had hoped for the Falchion but not surprised to just see the Glaive given its presence in the 3.0 launch trailer. Maybe in the future.

I share the sentiment on the Whirlwind, may be a little redundant in rules terms, but that missile launcher is so comically boxy so I'll probably pick up one or two just for fun. It's a neat little tank.

I didn't think it had made it out of 1.0 even! Shows how much I remember.

I do like a Glaive. Don't need one for my theme, but has always been my favourite so there's a good chance it'll find itself, somehow I don't know, in my display cabinet...

Would look good in blue …

I've always wanted a Whirlwind but never really liked the missile launcher, not even on the old metal one. THIS. This I want, and was hoping they'd make since the Epic scale one was revealed, hell yeah.

I can't wait for all of it. I should have enough time to save up for it and not hurt so badly financially. But this is the third journal for Age of Darkness, 4th counting the Legiones Imperialis book, but I have to ask; WHERE ARE THE SALAMANDERS??? Still no preators or characters! yeah, they kind of had some fluff in the Imperialis book, but that was about it.

Not to mention hardly anything is still getting painted in their livery either.

I need more flame fueled green boys!

Not what I was hoping for (The MkIV and Tartaros rescale were my biggest) but I'm still happy to see more stuff for the Legions.

I prefer the look of the Fellblade but one day I'd like to pick up a Glaive too.

The Whirlwind, I think it looks great.

Hopefully we get those this year! Love the new tanks but infantry are where the heart is and I am very excited for new Mark IV

I guess I'm in the minority, while I love the glaive I don't want anything to do with that whirlwind, my mind is just translating it back to a pair of upside down monster bases and some clumsy plasticard.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Those backwards 40mm bases were inspired. Nearly as good as a Baneblade made entirely from cornflakes packets.

I want my shampoo bottle grav tank back!

I like the whirlwind, but I think the back of the launcher is too big and it gives it a back heavy feel when compared to the more recent 40k kit.

I think my eye will get used to it though.

I agree @Cleon, the curved top plates of the new launcher remind me of the 'engine" covers on the back of my 40k Ballistus dreadnought.

I would have preferred a sharper edged look but it what was expected after the LI release.

I really like the Whirlwind model (I'm a fan of the metal one, but it is a bit problematic due to the weight distribution).

I don't play 30K, so my choices are either just to use the model as-is and somehow justify it that it survived for ~10,000 years, or put the turret on a modern Razorback chassis and see if I can palm the Rhino part off to someone in need of one. Hmm...
