I've been criminally negligent is posting for the last 7(!) years, and just as big (if not bigger) backlog as before I hope this will aid in getting me through some of it.

The primary focus will primarily focus on my Fire Falcons, a first-born marine space chapter (although more commonly known as the Tangamarines, as my display name might suggest). Some inquisition, mechanicum, and terrain my also sneak in to act as a palate cleanser to spice things up, as one can only paint so much orange!

The Fire Falcons are exclusively supplied mark VI armour up to the neckline, and from there are for the most part mark VII. At the time I started, I really hated painting kneepads, and what better way to learn and grow from that is to ignore them completely!

I also really love the vehicle armour style of 40k compared to 30k, so have done my best to modify relic vehicles to be in line with this aesthetic.

A reference to my colourscheme can be found at my previous attempt to document my progress here: Standard Tangamarine Construct: The Fire Falcons return! - + WORKS IN PROGRESS + - The Bolter and Chainsword and Fire Falcons Project Log -Scratchbuilt Sicaran, now updated! - + WORKS IN PROGRESS + - The Bolter and Chainsword and Fire Falcons Project Log -Scratchbuilt Sicaran, now updated! - + WORKS IN PROGRESS + - The Bolter and Chainsword

Some of these will be making a reapparence at some stage since I was unlucky enough to drop my collection a few years ago, and I never got round to repainting after stripping a few back for some major repairs.

I will update this first page with links and additional information as time goes on!

So, without further ado, the first kit of 2026 on the choopping block, the humble land raider.
Late last year I was lucky enough to go to warhammer world and pick up a copy of the command tanks. The land raider was one of the last marine tanks I wanted that was missing from my pile of shame and had eagerly been anticipating getting stuck in as a way of getting over those post vacation blues.

Those that may recall, I can never seem to leave a kit stock, and this was going to be no stranger.
I decided this was going to be a promethius command variant, as it seemed an excellent use of all the extra bling that came in the kit.

The traditional promethius eschews the forward turret in leu of more space for command. However, I was planning on using this as my captains dedicated transport option, so no need for the regular transport capacity, as so I decided (was convinced by my friend group) to use that fancy turret eagle cover to house a multi melta with integrated searchlight and additional targeting.

I designed this and other parts in Onshape, and printed out on my resin printer. While my orginal design needed a bit of good old-fashioned hacking to fit the eagle cover (the grav cannon it covered had its own mount style), I think the end result came out pretty well.

Next up were the quad heavy bolter sponsons. I was inspired by the originals, however, gave them better pathed belts, and actual ammo stowage. This took a while, as I was warry of clipping the ammo storage boxes with the main guns, looking at you plastic fellblade!

Along the way I added some extra armour to bulk the body out, modified some of the extra bling that came with the kit, as it no longer fit with the extra armour, some chapter symbols to taste amd a cheeky hunter killer missile of my own design tucked down the back.

No respectabke 40k tank would be complete without a crewman waving some sort of close combat weapon, so i lolped the end off the rod of command and replaced it with an axe from one of the first metal techmarines I had been saving for such occasion and gave him a servo arm I had laying around from a previous servitor build.

In due time I would like to also have the option of having a facsimile of my captain out the top hatch blasting away with his stormbolter and a power fist, but that will have to wait for another day.

Ive left the tracks off for to for painting, as would like to try spraying them with leadbelcher. Due to the age of land raider tooling, and the nature of resin printing, there are a few gaps to fill and sand down prior to painting. Also planned are a few strategically placed purity seals for maximum zeal which I will add after getting the orange base coat down.

My chapter surely must be an imperial fist successor with the number of bolters on this thing, and now looking at it, every other marine tank I have, more on that later!
