Greetings

I own the following Space Wolves models:

- Space Wolves Army Set (Wolf Guard Battle Leader, Wolf Priest, Headtakers, Grey Hunters, Blood Claws, Fenrisian Wolves)

- Space Wolves Combat Patrol (Wolf Guard Battle Leader, Wolf Guard Terminators, Wulfen, Blood Claws)

- Logan, Arjack, Njal, Ragnar, Primaris Battle Leader from 8th Ed., Ulfric

- Headtakers, Wolf Guard Terminators, Wolf Priest, Wolf Scouts

In short, I have all the new primaris models but I would like to expand the army. Unfortunately the rest of the Space Wolves range is firstborn and there are also rumors of the Thunderwolf Cavalry going to legends. I would not like to include models which do not work with the Space Wolves rules nor play well with our HQ choices. How would you expand the Space Wolves army?

Dreadnoughts, Vehicles, where to source the anti-tank? Support characters? Which models are in your opinion, future-proof or a safe buy for the Space Wolves?

I find a pack or two of humble Intercessors are a good investment. They are cheap Battleline units with Stcky Objective and they punch above their weight in shooting. Space Wolves suffer in that their Battleline units have to be 10 or 10/20 models. I admit that breaks your requirement about working with HQs but I think that they are worth it.

Our native choices do not excel at anti-tank. Wulfen with hammers will put a dent in them but only at close range. The best anti-tank options are probably the Ballistus Dreadnought, the Gladiator Lancer and the trusty Land Raider. I really like a land Raider as it is tough as nails, packs 4 lascannon shots and makes a great delivery system for Blood Claws and attached HQ. You will probably want at least two tanks as one is just an easy target so back up the Land raider with one of the other options I suggested. I also find Predators do well for their points but as a Firstborn unit, there is no guarantee that they will stick around in 11th.
