That animation might be the best one they've ever done.  There was no fat, all meat.  Loved the POV of the Krieger getting stepped on by the Stompa (? or whatever giant ork robot that one was).

Yarrick looks sick too.  Also looks to have aged up a bit.

Shouldn't yarrick be dead from old age?

He was 150 by the time of cadia falling be must be pushing 350 now, juvenat caps out at like 400 years for the super super I own a sector wealthy which yarrick wouldn't fall into

Yarrick can’t die because collectively the Orks think he’s immortal. Isn’t that the way ork magic works still? “Collective interpretation of reality”

Glad to see him back. Really great model. Steel Legion getting units would be awesome. Let’s create our own collective interpretation of reality: Steel legion will get a refresh. Would be a miss to use Armageddon as a setting and only get 1 model from it.

It would be a good opportunity to update the Chimera with Autocannon turret option too, jus' saying.

What I will say is he had more importance dead.

He never had any importance dead because he never died to begin with.

It was never written down, the last time we heard about him he was off world, chasing Ghaz, and then his rules weren't in one Guard Codex and the community started going "did GW just kill Yarrick?" "Is Yarrick dead?".

Then Angron came out and lo and behold, there's a skull with a bionic eye on his necklace. Confirmation! Yarrick is dead and it was Angron that killed him! Never mind the fact that there was no written lore about Angron touching Armageddon since his return back then, or coming across Yarrick away from Armageddon, or even literally anything written about Yarrick dying to begin with. And please ignore the fact that the aforementioned skull that caused all this hubbub is bigger than the human skulls around it and has SERVICE STUDS. Screw what's obvious and evident, we want to be angry about things!

And then, because this went on for so long and gained to much traction online, GW released this article and a bit later acknowledged this nonsensical mess as in-universe rumours about Yarrick's death in the following Guard Codex.

But no matter how much people decide to regurgitate their communal delusion again and again, one fact remains the same:

Canonically speaking, Yarrick. Never. Died.

And thank every god they stopped the acknowledgement of the whole "Yarrick is dead" nonsense as just rumours and that's over now. I'd have been genuinely angry if they went and actually killed him. Not because I particularly care about Yarrick's continued existence, but because the level of idiocy and circlejerking on display from the community has been insufferable these last couple years, and GW validating it would've given me even more grey hairs.

The DKK were involved previously in 3rd War for Armageddon tbf, they're even in the 3rd edition Armageddon codex.

I'm pretty sure thats where they first originated, beyond  this artwork which appeared in the 3rd ed guard codex 439536-3rd%20Edition%2C%20Artwork%2C%20Conversion%2C%20Copyright%20Games%20Workshop%2C%20Imperial%20Guard.jpg

Honestly i am tired of Armagedon, tired of Yarick, tired of the same named guys doing caught in their endless loup of 'SUPER SERIOUS FIGHT 5 THIS TIME ITS EVEN MORE SERIOUS!'.

I am happy for those who want this model and the newer players who will have their first Armagedon campaign. Tho since the older one never finished and it will be the same peeps this time i guess they are just joining the existing one.

Maybe GW will get frisky and do something new, bring Angron to armegedon, have the space wolf and grey knights defend the planet and then argue over civilians. Really strech the originality muscles there.

Named character remains the safest job in 40k.

I actually agree. I'd rather he stayed dead and just received the model vs "oh yeah he's not dead" and received a model.

Literally just came here to post this

If GW meant truly to kill him off, there would have been far more decisive with it.

Sadly it means my pet theory that Trazyn was involved some how was wrong...oh well, I'm happy with this reveal and short. They need to do this with every big character imo.

I'm probably in the minority here but I would have preferred him to stay dead.

Also, while the new mini is nice would I have liked the powerclaw to look more like the original mini's or like how it looked on the cover of Codex Armageddon.

With that said, this is really nice for all the Yarrik fans out there, and for all the IG kitbashers that now have another IG officer model to work with.
