I think many of us may need a bit of a breather following the end of pt 2 of Blackest Heart, what with all of the double-crosses, betrayals, reprisals, threats, etc.

Well I can certainly understand that.

I just want to stop the ball rolling off into the long grass...

At the moment The Nook only has 4 GM's

@Mazer Rackham - Who's taking a break.

@Lysimachus - Who is on a break.

@Trokair - Who is running his Eldar game.

@Black Cohort - Who is busy.

Don't think i've got the right stuff writing wise but if the board is looking to tail off for a while I might also give a stab at a techno-barbarians mini adventure (Dark Heresy. but wasteland survivors on a quest)

And of course hat in the ring to play anything going :p

Posted (edited)

I ran it once in here, never really got a chance to play. OW is a rarity in the Nook.

EDIT: For kicks and wiggles, I've started rolling up - I have a sensible Ogryn with a Shell-shocked Comrade.

This is fine.

I'm sure you do. :wink:

I'm interested in running something, likely Only War, soon-ish.

It would be slower paced than Mazer's game as I can't commit to posting as often (lots going on, house move, new job, etc.).

Might be interested, made an Ogryn for a OW game that did not get of the ground about a year ago or so and would like to give that another go.

Tell me more...

Also I have another game in mind for when the Eldar game is finished, still early planing stages for now. Will post more details once I have worked them out.

I did think about putting you down on the list as a possible GM, as we know you have the books and knowledge (as seen by your great characters).

But I thought it best not to.

I would like to do Dark Heresy if you want to run a game.

Hmm...

If the OW game is on hold, does anyone have anything else in the pipeline?

I have been thinking about this myself, and the only idea I've currently got would be what @Black Cohort (I think?) suggested for the Iron Gods - several years later (perhaps post opening of the Cicatrix Maledictum?) a new generation of recruits, taken/pressganged from worlds around the Solios Nebula and equipped from the vast stores taken from the Pride of Kings.

Obviously, Chapter tables wouldn't be used (all geneseed would have been taken from Talek Varn himself and replicated). But I figured the worlds the recruits were taken from, and their personal histories/childhoods, could add some variety to the DW Archetypes?

Existing characters from the previous game (if they are still with the IG) are now GM NPCs, and wouldn't be overly involved in this game except as flavour.

This is all just spitballing at the moment, and I haven't really worked it all out (I was thinking of it for after the OW game, at very least?) but would anyone fancy a go at something along those lines?

I have an idea for a game in mind, with a vague plot line and some rudimentary planning. Was going to work a bit more on it now that the Eldar game has come to an end, while I take a break from GMing for a bit, and then start later in the year.

I could try and push it forward, but if so it will be a bit rough around the edged.

So fledgling space marine in a non imperial non chaos cultural milieu? Second generation renegade is an interesting prospect...

I could be persuaded to serve Talek Varn again, but I'm hellbent on Howling Griffon Libby. Don't mind working it out with GM as non-mind reading stuff, etc. if that would help crowbar it into scope, but if not, it's no problem, and I can get back to shirking my projects! :biggrin:

Got to wonder what an all-psyker Deathwatch game would look like.

...a coven of psykers, you say? There's a Carcharodon/Doom Eagle/Exorcist librarian that I have been keeping in my back pocket for an occasion such as this!
