I know he's got his own gob, but I thought to tag him in if he's not subbed to the thread.

Thanks, didn't want to add anybody who hadn't explicitly said they're in just in case anything in post #1 turned them off from the idea :yucky:

What we should do is all be Ogryns, except for one Player who is forced to be a Commissar with three broken legs.

We then take the Loyalty and Willpower Apts + upgrades, the mission should start with all Comrades being killed, and we can slowly watch the Commissar (Necro) go insane as he has no-one to discipline.

FINE TWIST MY ARM! Commissar it is!

From looking at the old threads, it would seem Tro actually has a model built, so I shall defer to his being the Ogryn.

Kroslch can bust heads next time around.

*Steeples fingers*

I shall take on another role, maybe Storm Trooper, or go back to my Ecclesiarch...I shall think upon it. We also need to get this Regiment thing sorted out. Any thoughts, anyone? Apart from AT's I mean..?

Once we've got all the players confirmed we'll vote for each selection in order, but feel free to discuss in the meantime

Of course, GM, of course, but that's a funny way of saying Elysians...

And apparently hold up bookshelves.

The length, breadth and depth of your support is invaluable.

In other news, I am coming around to our hellgun toting lunatic. I have a nickname, a reason for said nickname, and his inspirational demeanour is at odds with the same fellowship score exhibited by a busted fridge.

Curious.

I reckon most of the people on the Nook have had a chance to see this so we'll jump ahead to starting a Regiment. I'm happy for us to use any of the previously mentioned pre-existing regiment homeworlds/origins, or we can build one completely new. I'll give it a day or two for opinions to fly around, and if there's no agreement we'll just build one.

Also since current standing is 7 players (we might pick another 1 or 2 up) plus Comrades, I'd be happy with up to 3 support roles, otherwise the squad might end up looking like the start of a 'walk into a bar' joke

Here are the homeworlds/origins again (remember you only get 12 points to spend in total across all selections):

Spoiler

Source Home World / Origin Cost
OW Death World 3
OW Fortress World 3
OW Highborn 3
OW Hive World 3
OW Imperial World 1
OW Penal Colony 2
OW Penitent 3
OW Schola Progenium 3
SoH The Lathe Worlds 4
SoH Ogryn World 5
SoH Post-Cataclysmic World 3
SoH Ratling World 3
SoH Shrine World 3
SoH Void Born 3
HotE Agri-World 3
HotE Feral World 4
HotE Feudal World 3
HotE Forge World 4
HotE Frontier World 4
HotE Mining Colony 3

I can't seem to set up a group message with the confirmed players (max 4 invites ) so if you want PDFs of OW, SoH and HotE drop me a message!

I don't know Only War, and I'm a bit busy for a few months, so I was thinking I'd stand aside for this one.

...but if there is a space that isn't being taken up, I'm up for joining in?

I have no idea how any of it works though, rules wise. Not got the book, so I'd need to get a copy?

If we're all one Regiment, does that mean we're all from the same planet? Does that limit the stuff or subspecies that might be available to us?

In terms of regiment generation I do feel like I have less skin in the game as Ogryns, as Auxiliaries, are attached to regiments as opposed to raised with them. So I assume from a fluff point that Por was attached some time after the regiments creation.

This is all a longwinded way to say I am not to fussed and will go with the majority on votes.

There is indeed space. I'll be busy too, hence the slower pace with this one. You're more than welcome to jump in, and that would have us hitting the 8 player cap I'd envisioned

I'll drop you a DM shortly with books. Standard FFG ruleset, so combat, skills, etc. are all very similar/identical. The main differences are the ones I mentioned in the first post. I would advise reading the details on Regiment Creation and skimming the Character Creation chapter for the slight differences to BC/DW, then the Combat chapter specifically for the part about Comrades. Other than those, you probably already know 95% of the rules!

Normally, yes - although mixed regiments are an option we can consider if that's the way the wind blows. As Tro mentioned above, support elements are generally seconded to troops for any number of reasons, so unless we pick a Ratling/Ogryn world they are likely not from the same place.

You're right, however you still get all regiment benefits/drawbacks as you're assumed to have assimilated with them and learned their customs, traditions, doctrines, etc., so I'd say your opinion carries just as much weight!
