Why not paint yellow on first and then go with dark, well covering metallics?

I've not found a metallic that covers well over bright colours - and I'm messy and would have to retouch the yellow!

I tend to sponges them. I do

1) metallic base

2) Seraphin sepia

3) reikland flesh shade

4) agrax

I then sponge colour on top. So for yellow I'd sponge averland sunset then another brighter yellow. Then a smidge of brown/ silver for weathering/ damage. Just bits of torn kitchen sponge too, nothing fancy.

Thanks, sounds like a fast method, got any pics?

NB they've already changed the datasheet on warcom, it can't join bikes any more. Quite sad really.

I wonder if they mistakenly put up the codex datasheet as opposed to the Armageddon one.

The SM captain can lead tacticals which are almost certainly not staying, so the banner nob leading lootas could just be a  temporary 10th edition backwards compatibility thing until the codex is released (that being said I do think new lootas are quite likely).

Loots refresh coming because I bought a set, assembled them but haven't painted them.

Best get on them so they can be led by a Bannernob....

Edit: and theBignoss can lead my Wrecka Kill Team? Best get them painted up too!

Thank you for your sacrifice.

this is Armageddon version. The codex version has those.

This is going to need to be repeated often and loudly.  These datasheets aren't 'final' in the sense that they represent the unit in it's every possible combination.  They are simply datacards that you can add into your existing supply of datacards (That may or may not be correct themselves, based on changes that have happened throughout 10th's life) that you have from 10th edition to keep a continuity for the people who like using the datacards.

There will, ostensibly, be newer datacards released alongside the codexes, as it appears that GW likes these cards for players to have as a quick reference.  I enjoy using them, when I remember to pack them lol.

This is very true and also counts for this :

Bannernob can lead lootas.

Lootas no longer on the webstore.

I'm taking this as soft confirmation that new lootas are definitely coming.

Indexes and other launch material have always been built around what is there NOW.

If lootaz are removed, it wouldnt be shown on this datasheet because they are still in the currently valid codex that these datasheets are meant for, the removal would be shown when the codex releases later this year.

This is the same as Enginseers being able to lead servitors in the index, but not a couple of months later with their codex when they where removed. ( the removal from the store already happened, and servitors where also removed from the spacemarine codex earlier ( I dont know about their index, I was too late to download the spacemarine and tyranid ones).)

Every codex since then removed servitors from the available units, but armies with index rules kept them until the codex rolled around. ( last one being grey knights, 2 years after servitors where all but removed, even if by then they had returned in a new admech-exclusive form through kill team.)

It is no confirmation of anything, soft or otherwise

Kustom choppa has me wondering what the power klaw will look like.

and WS2+ getting +1 to hit is annoying. Debuffing with a -1 to hit is pointless, and I just generally hate giving any sort of to hit buff to any character or model with a 2+ stat.

That's basically just the existing warboss profile, though, with the rider about needing to lead a unit to get the plus to hit removed, and a new melee weapon option.  So, I would expect the power claw to be very similar to that on its existing profile - the kustom choppa just seems to be a slight glow up (+1 A) to the existing big choppa, so presumably it will replace that.

The +1 hit is intended to buff his squad, not him - though if the power klaw remains 3+ to hit, it does benefit him there.  As for it getting around minuses to hit in melee, I'm not sure how prevalent those are in practice.

Does the warboss have auto hit in melee with it's ability?

If the rules remain the same (which I see no reason for them to change), a 1 always fails - so no.
