Vincet the Invunerable went into bar in Ahkn-Morpork, introtuced himself as 'Vincet the Invunerable' and was quickly proved wrong by the locals. The cause of death went down as sucicide. With failed suicide attempts punishable by death? Or doing something stupid (like running in front of you own tanks) in order to get killed and not have to fight punishable by death? Or both? The only one that springs readily to mind however is attempting to jump off'f the Golden Gate Bridge.
