Brother Tularis
Well, I'm not an IF player, but he still looks great to me! Kudos to you, Danek - this thread is a fantastic read. T
-][-Danek-][-
Thanks Tularis,I'll try to keep it interesting. :cuss To continue with Kill-Team Omega,I wanted a power weapon user that was really unique. This board and its unrelenting questions about Samurai based space marines got me thinking about including one myself.Soon this thinking deviated slightly to the idea of creating more of a swordsman type, similar to Musashi Miyamoto. Soon after,Brother Izuhara of the Rising Sun Chapter was born. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/Danek1354/Izuharasideshot.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/Danek1354/Izuharafront.jpg

Tubal
I may sound a litte condescending but I just want to point out first that I can't paint half as well :cuss I think the Fist's shoulderpad is a little pale, IMO he could use a wash of orange to deepen the colour a little. The shield, aside from being relatively useless on a sergeant, could have had it's original symbol removed a little more cleanly. Nice cloak though. The rest look fantastic though, especially the UM, Mortifactor and Rising Sun marine.
Angrons_Chosen
those are some real Sick minis you got there man! Lovin it all! Two things one, can you get a full squad pic and two, where are these deathwatch rules!?!?!? :cuss
JulZ
Really nice models you've got there! I especially like the Ultramarine and the Fist. I have to disagree with Tubal, that yellow fits the character of the 41st millenium so much more than the usual deep one. Keep up the good work! :cuss
Brother Captain Achilles
Loving all of these guys. Especially Titus, hes is a true homage to ultramarines.:cuss
-][-Danek-][-
To Tubal:I tried the "orangish" yellow, and was not very pleased personally. I do agree with the Combat Sheild comment.Had I my lovely dremel at the time, the surface would have been much smoother. With my confidance in sculpting raised as of late I will most likely redo the sheild. To Angron's Chosen:The rules are in UK/US WD 305/306 (I believe.Don't have it next to me.) I'll get to the full Kill-Team pics soon. ^_^ To Julz:I agree. It just looked better to me. Thanks for the compliments, guys! :cuss

-][-Danek-][-
Continueing Kill-Team Omega; I wanted Jarl to be the only one in my army to have Lightning Claws, and yet I love them so much.lol So I decided to use a different kind of weapon to count as Lightning Claws. (Fortunatly, not once have I gotten grief for it) The question then became who would use the weapon(s)? So one night I'm watching Pitch Black(One of my fav movies) and before long.... Brother Riddick of the Emperor's Warbringers was born. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/Danek1354/Riddick.jpg Complete with some Xenos "shivs". jimmythemoose
These are truly some amazing minis. I love the way you've taken the time to give each marine a name and personality. Amazing conversion work and great painting, well done. :cuss
-][-Danek-][-
To Jimmy The Moose:You have no idea, man. :cuss I don't play just to win.Honestly its nice, but secondary.I play to create my own story. An army needs a strong narrative feel, and I couldn't find any better than the Deathwatch,a Chapter consisting of marines from all corners of the universe and all kinds off differing beliefs. Where else can you find marines like Titus and Santino, the most unlikely of friends,an Ultramarine Tyrannic War Vet and a Blood Angel that served in Tycho's honor guard? Where else can you have Gideon,a Dark Angel that is barely able to stand the sight of Drakeus,a heavy bolter expert in his Kill-Team,simply because Drakeus hails from the Black Dragons? I've been working on this specific project for years, and it started with me sitting down with tons of paper,a pen,IA 1 & 2 and the intent of writing down no less than 60 names, chapters(some DIY,most GW made) and small bios. The recognition of my peers means alot to me,because this project has meant alot to me. ^_^
