Daeothar
Thanks guys; painted pics following soon... daeother,Quick questions. 1) Are those Red Scorpion pads with the scorpion filed off? 2) If so, I see you are using the brass Aquillas. Will any fit in the circle? 3) Love the models, why the old flamer on the new flamer hand? 4) Argh, I love power maces. Not sure why, but they are the coolest Terminator Power weapon. 5) Where is the dog model from? Great idea for a dog as a C.A.T. 6) Reserved for Slaanesh! 1; Close. They're Imperial/Crimson Fists pads. For the 2nd squad, I will probably go with the Scorpions ones, to have different ones. 2; The smallest Aquilas on the sheet will indeed fit into the circles. 3; For some reason I don't quite like the flamer end on the new plastics. It's not an old flamer though; it's the one from the Landspeeder Tornado. The FL make extensive use of flamer weapons (as their name suggests), so it's to be expected there'll be many different types. Besides; personalisation is cool ;) 4; Me too. They're also very handy when needing to knock in some closed bulkhead/door... 5; Answered! ;) I want to use this one as a familiar for my Librarian as well btw. 6; Remember; these guys wear orange, not pink! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87636-space-hulk-modeling-thread/page/8/#findComment-1028296 Share on other sites

Freebooter
I regret to announce due to unforseen circumstances that my pack will not be taking place in the boarding actions. My wolves are being re-allocated to garrison duty for the time being. ARGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I almost had them finished too. I looked at my timetable this morning and was shocked to realise that i've got just under a month till mid year exams. I'm out of the Hobby untill they finish and so my Pack are a good 2 months away from completion. Give those Xenos hell for me my brothers. The Angelus Sanctus
Given that the AoD is commencing, i have a bad feeling my Termies wont make it anywhere NEAR the Space Hulk. Alas, given that i still started, ill at least get the termies to the finished stage and wish those that do get in the best of luck. The Angelus Sanctus
Ohh, ill keep pluggin' at it alright. Im at the stage of needing to glue in the magnets (for future interchangable weapons), assemble what i can and prep for the GS phase which shouldnt be TOO bad (one hopes). Artemis the hunter
I looked at my termies. Looks like I'll have to touch them up a bit. Stupid paint not sticking to metal <_< . Must go subscribe to new thread now. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87636-space-hulk-modeling-thread/page/8/#findComment-1030582 Share on other sites
The Angelus Sanctus
Well when Refuse said to keep on pluggin' thats what i did. Although i am actually happy with the robing i did to the termies, im not FULLY happy with it as i wish i just thinner bits of GS for the chest robing (that and i didnt file off any of the details off the chest as a normal terminator in a robe, i doubt would file off their chest eagles etc). So although its some of my BEST GS robe work to date, it isnt 'right there' at the same time. The next GS work i have to do is some hoods and just unflatten the basing a bit (since im doing a forest base to match my army). So yeah here they are: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Angelus01/Angels%20of%20the%20Lion/WIP/WIP-LionGuard.jpg After looking at the pic again, the robes dont look THAT big, as i think the camera added about 10 lbs to the termies..... -Q-
They look really good. You've obviously identified some good things to improve on your next attempts. Once they've got their arms and are all painted up it'll be easier to not nit-pick on them. The Angelus Sanctus
Thanks Q :D Surprisingly enough i tried the lay out GS on a piece of plastic to make the tabbard bits which i thought was a very handy tip. Although i KNEW i should have used thinner pieces of GS on the chest, i somewhat didnt, alas, i will admit i did learn alot from the experience, so they wont look fantastic, they COULD be alot worse . Ive been cleaning up a few more plastic bits to add on to them and i finalised my choice for the Sgt's head so im probably only a day out from the painting stages. And as a minor miracle, at least majority of their armor is black! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87636-space-hulk-modeling-thread/page/8/#findComment-1030678 Share on other sites
Lord Chrisius III
Only just noticed this forum, today on 14th. I want to enter, so I'm gonna crack out the paint right now and finish off the Intrepid Alchemists termi squad. I already have one guy done, and the others are all at about 35% so fingers crossed. The Angelus Sanctus
Happy to announce that the GS phase, I believe is over! Hopefully later tonight ill get a pic of the current progress on the termies, but i should be ready to go and start painting them by this weekend  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87636-space-hulk-modeling-thread/page/8/#findComment-1031789 Share on other sites
The Angelus Sanctus
Just a bit of a bump up B) I swear i have NEVER done anything this quick before, alas, the terminators with the exception of some minor bits i believe are ready for painting, here is what they look like (either either their arms magnetised or blu-tac'd) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Angelus01/Angels%20of%20the%20Lion/WIP/WIP_LG_17_06_06.jpg Im quite happy with them, although i MIGHT do some minor GS work around the waist of their robes to make a bit of a belt of sorts AND i need to fix the Sgt's storm bolter arm as the magnets are slightly visible (didnt drill deep enough). The Angelus Sanctus
Thanks Refuse B) If i had a WEE bit more time, id probably would have been a bit more nit picky with a few things, but for a major GS attempt and what not, Im happy with the results. Im lookin' forward to seeing these guys painted and i for one will love to try these techniques again for future termies for sure.
