LoyalSpaceMarine
Your CF's look great! It really inspires me to never post my shabby painted minis. Seriously though, I admire anyone who can blend, I've been painting for YEARS and just can't get my head around the wet pallette. Keep up the good work! umlaut31
Thank you starks, after hearing your reply most of what I said was stupid and almost all can be dismissed. I do like your conversion work, and think that when the army is done, it'll look really good and choherant. Keep up the good work, and i'm sorry again for being rude, I may also have to think about what to say when I don't agree with something, I'll cool it down from now on. ^_^ I'll keep a log on the blog (hehe) and check wehn your figs are up and running! Starks333
@loyal, thin paint, transparent thin paint aka a glaze is all you need to blend half decently @umlaut, no problem, i dont mind peoples opinions, i just appreciate it when they try to read a bit of what ive written to make sure they understand everything they are commenting on, i sometimes make the mistake myself so no hard feelings im doing some work on the chaplain, but pics will have to wait as i have to make sure all the black primer is gone, otherwise it will make my black look weird(because black paint is actually greyer/brighter than black primer, which is annoying) ill be painting a bit this afternoon as i have to show morfesto some more things..and also more painting for the game im having tonight! thanks, ill try and get some more updates in, i was busy cleaning/priming other models and working on some other stuff ;) Starks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87766-crimson-fists/page/4/#findComment-1212561 Share on other sites

Starks333
apologies for taking so long, Ive been working on the warseer painting comp entry a bit, doubt ill get it done on time though :P, as well as my friends DH army, had a game of 40k as well as cleaned some nids...so a bunch done just not much for the army hahaha anyways, Some progress on my chaplain, the black primer is throwing off the black armour painting so far, ill hopefully get more done on him sooner than later i cant decide on a colour for his crozius, no gold, there wont be gold on any of my Fists, im thinking a nice bright purple ...hmmmm also need more contrast on the paper, i figured as much while doing it but i didnt have much time so http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3012.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3013.jpg Starks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87766-crimson-fists/page/4/#findComment-1216243 Share on other sites
Starks333
well the libby is done, he looks messier up close, and theres actually some red in some of the weathering, didnt show it seems, note, he looks far better when not zoomed in, the weathering complicates things when you look too closely, its designed for tabletop ;) the dread had some bleanding done, the entire front section is grey, not black, but the contrast makes it look black, it will probably be highlighted brighter, ill figure it out once i get more highlights on the blue http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3021.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3022.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3023.jpg Starks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87766-crimson-fists/page/4/#findComment-1220841 Share on other sites
Starks333
heres an update of the chappie after a short little painting session: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3025.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Starks3333/Crimson%20Fists/100_3027.jpg im still debating the crozius, right now its going to be silver with purple, i might drop the silver for black because it fits the theme more, i wanted the purple to break up his colours a bit and since theres already lots of purple and red on him(rocks on base, parchment, skin, skulls) Starks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87766-crimson-fists/page/4/#findComment-1221482 Share on other sites
scipio.au
I like the Chaplain, but honestly the purple/silver isn't doing it for me. I'd go for a nice, traditional bone on the eagle/crozius. cheers, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/87766-crimson-fists/page/4/#findComment-1221896 Share on other sites
