I love Dread Threads. Some really great conversions and very nice paint jobs all through this thread, I hope I am worthy. Dreads are sort of a hobby-within-the-hobby for; I can't get enough of them.

Honored Old One Vega. The Guardian. Finished him finally last week. Turned out ok. Sadly I have only used him once since then. He only survived for Turn 1 in the game, but tied up a Dev squad, Tac Squad and my opponent's Commander, a Ven Dread, for that whole turn sucking up a lot of shooting which didnt do anything serious to him. The Ven Dread had to come take him in HtH to destroy Vega.

Venerable brothers Voritax (on the left) and Tragor (on the right)

med_gallery_52798_4624_47220.jpg

When I build Voritax i want him to be Angel of Destruction. And i think I managed. :)

Wings are magnetized, and can be removed for transport.

Tragor was designed as Siege Dreadnought. This is why he is painted with flames on his chest. Now he is used as just standard Venerable.

Some side view

As 5 edition codex came i decided that I definitely need two Iron Clads in my Iron Hands.

But I didn't want all my old dreds to be put on the shelf. So this is my answer to question: "How to create AV13 Dred frome AV 12 dred?"

Voritax and Cestus in Their Iron Clad version.

med_gallery_52798_4624_31133.jpg

With shields like that no one have ever questioned their AV13 :D

med_gallery_52798_4624_23121.jpg

I hope you like them.

Here are 2 Chaos Dreadnoughts I finished recently. They are magnatized with other arms also, these just happen to be what arms I had on them when I snapped a quick photo for a friend.

Black Templar Forge World Dreadnought. The arms are magnetized. His close-combat arm is the Iron Clad Seismic Hammer with Heavy Flamer because I think it looks cool. The other arm is a Forgeworld Plasma Cannon. The base includes hirst art blocks. I tried to give him a more dymic pose: 1 foot higher, turning slightly to his left, balancing on steps.

Here's my Death Guard Dread. He's mostly FW - new DG body, the previously released one's chainsaw arm -, but I converted the ML from a Havoc Launcher, and a little extra tank armor (I had way too many of those sitting around to not go for it).

The banner will be completed shortly. I'm actually making it to swap between the Dread here, and a Plague Marine standard bearer for when I use a fourth squad.

Yay! I finally have something to post in one of these threads! Here is my first dreadnought and conversion from the AOBR plastic dread. Probably the most complex conversion I've done. Enjoy!
