If their was a horus heresy movie, i would say they would do it either in a 300 style animation or Beowulf style...i just don't think the actors could play as space marines (let alone the primarchs)...they just look too weak (well maybe not mr.T :D ) and i think it would be cooler in animation anyway cause you coul do the hugebattles and stuff much better than using real people. Just my opinion.

Here's my cast:

The Emperor - Sean Connery (without a doubt)

Horus - Kurt Russel

Russ - Russel Crowe or Dennis Quaid

Guilliman - Christian Bale

Sanginius - Either Ewan McGregor or Keanu Reeves

Dorn - Mel Gibson

Fulgrim - Joaquin Phoenix

Mel Gibson couldn't be in the movie b/c then i couldnt watch it and that would make me sad.

Christian Bale as Night Haunter

Russel Crowe as Horus

Joaquin Phoenix as Fulgrim

Mel Gibson as Russ

tough to think of other celebrity actors who have the ability/presence to do the primarchs justice...but will keep my thinking cap on

I will jump on the bandwagon too and nominate Gary Busey as Angrom. He's nutty, and maybe CGI the heck out of him to make him primarch-ish.

I think this is limiting as we can only really pick current actors. :(

Emperor: Kirk Douglas or Charlton Heston

Russ: That huge redheaded guy from Braveheart or Gerard Butler.

Dorn: Bruce Willis or Paul Newman. Maybe Steve McQueen

Fulgrim: Johnny Depp

Gulli: 007 era Sean Connery

Angron: Fedor Emilianenko with a overdubbed voice. Or Mickey Rourke ala Sin City

Horus: whoever the hell played Lucifer/Satan in the original The Prophecy movie. He was cool.

Night Haunter: Christian Bale (I mean, the Haunter is batman. He was good batman ^.^) Clint Eastwood

Lion: Tcf was all over this one, Sean Bean

Mortarion: Viggo Mortinsen

Sanguinus: The guy who played Lucius Varenus off the show Rome or the guy in King Arthur/english dude in Sin City.

The Khan: Ken Watanabe

Corax: Tom Cruise (just think about it a second hehehe)

Perturabo: The guy who played Titus Pullo off the show Rome.

Vulkan: Billy Blanks heh

Ferrus Manus: John Wayne

Lorgar: The one eyed guy from 300 for sure. Dead ringer. Spewing litanies and propaganda hehe.

Magnus: Some dude painted red with the voice of James Earl Jones

Alpharius: Joaquin Phoenix

A 40k movie would be cool, but it wouldn't happen. Too violent, even though the violence isn't central like in splatter and really violent movies. Maybe a really toned-down version. Also Warriors of Ultramar would make a great movie.

Hah ! think about the budget . . it would be cool to have a horus heresy animated series liek samurai jack or clone wars cartoon to be liek a couple of chapters in a book per an episode , right ?

Head looks like Horus or not?

And didn't we agreed long ago that Chuck Norris would be only suitable as a Leman Russ

Orlando Bloom as Sanguinus

Curt Russel as Guilleman

Vin Diesel and Bruce Willis as marines or so.

is it just me or would having orlando play Lucius or Eidolon be a good move? i'd love to see how orlando would take on a villainous role. Plus chow yung fat as khan is a good call.

And i would have gerard butler as abaddon, but when primarchs get involved it's a lot harder to picture them as they are just so immense.

Loken or Torgaddon i think would be the hardest space marines to cast, there would just be so much exspectation.

I would think Gearld Butler for Angron or Aby. Not Sangiunious i just cant see him playing that character. The chump who played Beowulf, I cant remmeber his name could get in shape and play Gulliman.

Mortian idk how u would do him, cause he would have to look pretty different from everyone else...

Chris Walken would be good or I think dudes name is Chris Mcglovin or some <DELETED BY THE INQUISITION>, the dude who played Grendal in beowulf.

First of all, just wanted to say:

Greatest

Topic

Ever

Second, my line-up:

The Emperor - Rodney Dangerfield (If we was still alive of course), Patrick Stewert was a good one

Iacton Qruze - The guy that played Gandalf...

Angron - Vin Deisel

Sanguinness(sp) - Sadly, best person for the job I can think of is Brad Pitt...

The Night Haunter - Cristopher frickin' Walken (Creepy, awesome bastard)

Vulkan - Samuel L Jackson (Mace Windu Style!)

Leman Russ - As much as I despise Mel Gibson, he would make a good Russ...maybe the guy who played Beowulf

Sindermann(Sp) - Cristopher Lee

Guillman - Harrison Ford, might I ask, why the Hell not!?

Lucius - The guy who plays Aniken(Sp)

Khan - Asian overlord guy from Pirates of the Carribean

Loken - Blank here

Khârn - Hugh Jackman

Tarik - John McGinley (Dr. Cox from Scrubs, I don't care, as long as he says Starch-Arse like Tarik does in the book, movie will be perfect)

Mortarion - Come to think of it, Rodney Dangerfield!

That's all I have in mind for now
