  1. Yes sir. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317178-miniaturepainters-blood-raven-blog/ I'm working on 35 marines for the demi company, then I'll start working on their transports. But once I'm in the saddle I knock them out kinda quick. Since I'm not working at the moment, I have all day to model and paint. I was thinking of doing the Blood Raven icon but it would mimic your style, but then again, I could center the icon on the middle tank and then flush it out to the other sides. Also was thinking about using the feathers on the sides of rhino's. Thanks for the inspiration :) MP
  2. Elmo, great stuff you have here, I was thoroughly impressed with your impression of the cover of the dark angel book cover, and as many are here with the mural. Just a question. Did you use some kind of template, not asking for your secret, but did you practice on some paper with the dimensions of the dozer blades? If so, do you have a link to them, or can you tell me the dimensions of the dozer blade? I am going to do the line breaker squad myself and not to copy your idea but this is for a completely different chapter and I have a great idea for the blades. I'm also impressed with the way that if you were to break down the squad to one or two tanks, the blades themselves don't need the other 2 to support the 'idea of, hey look it looks like it's missing something!' (really hope I came across there and hoping you got my meaning.) I guess what I'm saying is, the mural to me at least as an artist impression from you, is the murals one by one don't need the other two to look like it's a complete mural. But if and when you assemble them in a line, it looks the way it's meant to look. I am currently painting blood ravens. And my idea for a mural is one of a feather and pieces falling from the feather then them turning or morphing into single ravens themselves. I got the idea from a tattoo design I saw, let me post it. http://tattoospedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Feather%20Tattoo/Feather%20Raven%20Tattoo%201.jpg And this one... http://www.tattooeasily.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/raven-tattoo-20.jpg There are many more available on Google Images. I also wanted to thank you for the inspirational ideas. You're the man. MP

    Blood Ravens

My attempts at finding the perfect red for my Blood Ravens.
  4. Looking great! Can't wait to see your progression. Awesome work. :-)
  5. Awesome. Inspiring none the least. My current army, dark angels is on the table. I do have some Blood Ravens painted up and put away. I'm thinking a themed army, but don't know where to go with them at the moment. I did play DoW 2, and if you played it, the ravens assault squads all have beaky helmets. So I did that with a 10 man jump squad. Good work. Dry brushing, I'd say you've mastered the techniques cause I can't tell. And the shoulder pads look battle worn. Awesome. Red seems to be the easiest to dry brush.
  6. Also for white I like the P3 whites. They are pretty good :-)
  7. I like them. I think I shared this topic on my time line over on fb when I wasn't able to login to my account. I too have started a Blood Ravens army, till forgeworld forgot to print more decals. No I don't own a computer, nor a printer :-)
